Yes, this one is a bit strange, I'll need to dig deeper to figure out what's the issue

Awesome! thanks

somehow the space used on disks isn't always displayed correctly... the last digit seems to be cut off, regardless of which font size I use... the numbers in the Screenshot should be 912 GB and 481 GB respectively...

Hi, thanks for the report.

Would you mind following the steps in https://github.com/jbrodriguez/controlr-support, so I can reproduce the issue with the same data ?

Certainly, just sent it off.

After reviewing the issue with drdebian, we found it's an issue with the default font in some Android devices.

Setting the system-wide font to Roboto fixes the issue.

I'll be doing some additional research into the matter, but will probably offer an option of using Robot for the app, at least.

jbrodriguez,

first I have to say thanks for such an awesome app!
I've just gotten started with unRAID, and I had a few data rebuild scares (because I was silly, of course)

It was cool though to be able to monitor over the interwebz the progress.

One question though - I can't seem to get the Logs Display to work over the internet, even if I also open up the 2378 port
I have only managed to get it working via port 80, for the basic ControlR information...

Hi, thanks for the kudos !!

The supported (and suggested) method to access a server remotely with ControlR is using a VPN (such as OpenVPN and in the not so far future, WireGuard).

Check the FAQ for some specific solutions.

If you have opened ports to your server then you are probably already getting hack attempts from all the bots out there.

Thanks for clarifying gentlemen,

I'll go with the OpenVPN solution.

@constructor - yes, I've been running a secure FTP, with SSL logins for some time now, I completely understand the bot issue :)
I had to set auto-bans after 5 failed attempts, after seeing the logs...

works like a charm with OpenVPN!

now I can monitor my server from anywhere :D

for anyone else interested in getting this operational:

1. I used SpaceInvader's tutorial about OpenVpn AS

https://youtu.be/EfBvvilnasU

2. added a few plugins (dynamix temp, NUT ups)

3. I did have to auto-detect in ControlR, I couldn't get right the manual connection :P

result:

Thanks for reminding me about this.

You can connect with other users but you need to use the root password (this is due to how Unraid currently operates).

I have to update the FAQ to inform about this properly.

About the docker operation, the latest app release I'm about to publish adds support for 6.6.x

could you update the FAQ, it takes lot of time to figure this out

P.S.: Done 👍

v4.6.0 is available on the App Store / Play Store !

This is a maintenance release to provide preliminary support for Unraid 6.7.x.

Additionally, the following changes are included:

- Add TrueBlack theme
- Update to base libraries
- Better support for recent mobile devices

NOTES:

I need to work on some other stuff and this release was blocking me.

So, here's hoping there are no breaking changes in future RCs/stable 6.7.x 😁

TrueBlack is meant for mobile devices with OLED screens, it's should look great a 'true' black background (thanks to the person that suggested it).

It should also have better support for the new iPhone Xx.

Update the ControlR plugin as well (v2019.02.08)

Edited by jbrodriguez

Looks like this has fixed the problem with viewing logs in 6.7. Really like the true black. Very nice.

I agree, the True Black is very nice!

The label font (below the server status line) could be a bit whiter to help it show up better, but not much, and that's a minor nit pic.

I miss the scrolling status line. I don't know if there were technical reasons for removing it, but if not, it would be nice to have as an option.

Also, I seem to have lost the "3 C" logo as the icon on my android phone. I now get just the default android poking his head up icon.

Thanks for continuing to improve this!

I notice that the “Open” buttons for the dockers don’t do anything. I’m guessing these should open the associated webUI?

+1 on Android icon, was just about to post to see if nuking my app was warranted.

iOS icon still correct.

Thanks for the heads up !

I've published v4.7.0 on Google's Play Store, with a fix for the app icon. No update on iOS side.

Let me know if it doesn't fix it for you.

I'll make a bit whiter

Yes, it was technical, there were occasions in which it got badly garbled (bad scrolling logic it seems).

I'll take another stab at it, I like it myself (and make it optional)

Thanks, I'll check that out.

Hey, I got my icon back! :) thanks for the super quick fix!

It seems like the text color changed on the action buttons (spin up, spin down, etc) to yellow. It's that the True Black scheme and I just didn't notice before?

I was referring to the "status", "uptime", "load", etc labels, in case I wasn't clear.

Hi. Recently I've been unable to access my dockers in the app. I get a message saying that "No dockers are installed or they are currently unavailable". I am running the RC of 6.7 if that helps.

Yes, that's the theme

I published version 4.6.0+ that has been reportedly working with 6.7.0-rcX. Can you confirm that's the version you're running ?

If that's the case, are you running RC2 or RC3 ?

The line in the middle is what I'm referring to. Maybe it's just my eyes getting old but it's a bit too dim. d9dccc491678e8f5fc33f5288dc3ed46.jpg
