Great stuff - I'll look at this in the next day or so - what is your Steam username?

Container is done and will be available in the CA App in the next few hours. ;)

Hey, is there any changelog for Valheim / STEAM cmd?

On github I can see changes to log reporting and gcc toolchain?

What are the reasons / benefits of the changes?

Thanks and kind regards

No, I don't do changelogs for my containers usually.

I updated only the baseimage to Debian Bullseye and also had to update one package because on Bullseye it's named a little different.

Had to revert the changes that I did yesterday because for some people it doesn't work, so the container is working like before.

I would say the benefits are improved security... ;)

May I ask why do you need the latest unstable build from FiveM? Does this have any benefits over the recommended one?

This was my mistake - I didn't read properly - thought the latest I saw was already the stable one. I only brought it up cause things weren't working, so I was trying to see if it will load a different version.

Do you want to do a fresh unRAID install?

I was going to, then just decided to install the docker on my production server - I checked it on my phone and saw the WebConsole.

Here's the kicker, I checked today, and saw the same 'blank' page, but I knew it loaded the WebConsole, so I then decided to open it in Edge, and sure enough I saw it.

So for whatever reason, my Chrome wasn't just loading it (Version 94.0.4606.61) - however, this doesn't explain why it was opening up to port 8080.

Either way, I'm just going to work off my production server now.

I see the logs are more closely matching your logs now.

This was supposed to be the easy part too... I got a long ways a head of me

Thanks for your help - keep up the great work!

typo

For some reason spaces does not seem to work anymore in the valheim docker fields for server name and world name. Had to manually rename my map to remove spaces and everything works now.

Looks like latest  update fixed the whitespace issue, all working now.

Hi I'm using the ark-se server docker container. I'm having trouble applying config changes to the GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini. Whenever I start the server all my changes to the config files are overwritten with the defaults. How can I prevent this from occurring?

I wonder if i can get some help here. I'm running an Ark cluster and this morning my cluster decided to shit the bed.  I tried to add more settings and when I brought one back this kept on going in a loop.

ark.log

How do I stop this and get my servers up and running again?

Edited by ich777

Anyone having issues with backups.  I recently lost a weeks worth of progress.  I kept the default backup setting but it doesnt seem to honor it.  This is my second server running.

Have you set the variable VALIDATE to true?

Are you sure that the share where the game files are located is set to use Cache Only or Prefer? Maybe the mover moved the files to the Array.

You can also try to set the variable VALIDATE to 'true' (without quotes) and wait for the Container to validate the files, when it's done please unset the variable VALIDATE again.

Please try to stop the container, remove the Backup folder, start the container again and see if the backup archives are created properly...

Is it possible since the last update that the worlds where reset, I'm not too sure about that but I think I've read that somewhere...

@Cyd have you ever played around with this? I'm not an ARK player in any way and I'm completely lost when it comes to modding those servers.

Signal 11 (SIGSEGV, also known as segmentation violation) means that the program accessed a memory location that was not assigned to it.

That's usually a bug in a program or in this case a modification to a program.

It can also commonly occur with some hardware malfunctions.

I have never used and other maps than the ten released from the devs… I would imagine you need to figure out the name they called it and put that in the “map name” variable… <shrug> maybe?

Following the ARK Server documention I can use -MapModID=XXXXXXX or MAP=Viking_P in the run command, and for some reason it will not download the map. Suggestions on how to solve?

I don't understand...

I'm really not familiar with ARK but maybe this helps: Click

Form what I've read there:

  1. Edit the file 'GameUserSettings.ini' and append for example this: 'ActiveMapMod=1065443232'
  2. In the Docker template at 'Map' enter the map name, like in this example: 'Panthalassa'
  3. Restart the container

It should then download and install the map.

Thank you for these great dedicated servers @ich777.

I've been playing some Satisfactory lately and found this: https://github.com/wolveix/satisfactory-server

Would this (or something similar) be possible in your "collection" as well? 🙂

No, because this is only the main game running with WINE (which can get pretty unstable at times btw) in a container.

The dedicated server isn't out yet from what I know, if they release the dedicated server I can look into it and create a container for it but I don't like doing it that way because it's not official, don't get me wrong, it's a good idea to run it like that but if the developers change something and this would break the container, a lot of people that are using this container would be really dissapointed.

I've been having a lot of trouble getting a Project Zomboid server to work. Does anyone know of any guides or tips on getting it up? I was able to run a Valheim server fine. Note that I'm a Docker noob and followed a guide for Valheim.
