Go to the CA App, scroll down and click on Settings, then set the option: "Allow install of second instance" to "Yes" and click Apply.

Now you can install a second SteamCMD container.

I used to run 9 different SteamCMD containers at the same time. wink.gif

Hi, could I get some help with the jsdos docker? I think I set things up proper but it seems to be constantly restarting because something is wrong but I'm not sure what.

Here is the beginning of the log https://pastebin.com/F1DSQ5RU

Please! I came here to ask this same thing. I tried but I can't seem to get mine to work, I suspect there is more involved.

The official community servers are not out yet and even if you get it to work they are pretty unstable from what I know...

Or am I wrong?

Edit:

ACTUALLY!! Just saw this update from Coffee Stain.  They actually cite the wiki article I linked you earlier. So it actually is more functional now.

They are out, with the caveat that they are experimental. The SteamCMD appid is 1690800

Template for Satisfactorio is uploaded and will be available in the next few hours in the CA App.

Please keep in mind this is a experimental build, if you want to connect to the server you have to actually install the experimental client on your local computer through Steam or Epic and you will then have the option "Server Manager" in the main menu which you then can connect to the container.

Also please ignore the messages in the log about steamclient.so, it is getting loaded correctly but it complains as always in most of the dedicated servers about it.

Container is tested and working just fine. ;)

Not yet, patiently waiting. Thanks again!

Edit: It's there!

I just installed the container from the community apps page (left all settings as default) and all i get is this same console output looped

Thank you for the Satisfactory template @ich777! I was literally in the midst of spinning up a dedicated server on a VM and stumbled across this. :)

I do however seem to have some weird anomaly with trying to connect (it is likely a me problem as I can't find any reports of the same issues happening with someone else). This happens with both Windows Server (via Steam app) and Linux (via steamcmd).

When I try and connect to the game server, my logs are spammed with the following (the IP is from my Steam client on my gaming PC):

None of the server info loads in Game on my client (game thinks the server is offline).

I understand this is all still experimental, but has anyone else had this same issue as yet?

EDIT: Fixed my own issue; turns out I made an unnecessary port change (tried connecting to 7777 instead of 15777). Swapped to 15777 and now it loads.

Edited by evakq8r

Installed from CA with defaults minus set an ip instead of bridging the network.  I logged into server, created a world, and then went and added some of my local saves.  Switching between world saves is a bit buggy, seems to error then the next time it works.  So far so good for experimental.  I'll need to play more.

I appear to be experiencing an error asking about a subscription, yet I own the game and have logged in at least via my client to Epic Online Services. Any ideas?

@nmills3 & @8064r7 seems like both of you having the same issue.

Can you post a screenshot from you Docker template, have you anything changed to the template itself?

Have both of you a Cache pool on your server, to what is the appdata share set in terms of "Use Cache" on the Share page ("Yes", "No", "Only", "Prefer")?

Port forwards or changes are not possible, please read the description from the individual ports, you can change them but you don't have to.

In game it should be possible if you simply enter the IP from your server, without a port, and you should be good to go. ;)

True, but people have been asking for dedicated servers for quite a while now, so I figured a lot of people would be trying to set this up :)

@ich777 Here's the settings i'm using, i think i left them all on default

Do you have enough space on the cache drive left?
Try the following:
- Delete the container
- Delete the satisfactory directory that lifes you appdata folder
- Pull a fresh copy from the CA App and let everything on default
- Open a Log window right after the container is pulled down and see what the log says and maybe post the log output here

My best guess is that something went wrong when connecting to Steam and downloading the game.
Do you have some kind of blocking software on your network like AdGuard or PiHole?
