I am moving a good amount of data to an SMB share I setup. I noticed that after copying a few files, it will halt for 1-2 minutes at a time. Hello, The last few months I have had random freezes of Unraid where it becomes completely unaccessible. The webgui does not load, pings do not respond, samba shares cannot connect etc. The only way to get access again is by doing a hard reboot of the system. Since the last time I had this, I enabled syslog mirroring to flash because i really wanted to have some logs to get support for this frustrating issue. This night it happened again after about 1 month of uptime without freezes.

This is not a big deal and has been reported before on the general support forum, when a custom controller type is used for SMART you can see all the SMART attributes including temp, but for some reason temp is not displayed on the GUI or dash, other user was using the HP cciss controller and the same happens to me with an LSI MegaRAID controller, so looks like a general issue when using a custom SMART controller type. Tried to run a docker that I accidentally re-used a port for. Took me longer than I'm comfortable admitting to track down the issue. "docker start xxx" from the terminal told me the port was already allocated.

About 6 months ago, I ran into an issue where my flash drive was getting constant writes to it (like hundreds and thousands per day). In fact at one point, I had a drive with like 700k writes die. I had mostly forgotten about this. Today I decided to try out the My Servers plugin because I noticed my cloud backup was from June. This bug appears since unRAID implemented web login. I do have 32 docker containers in my unRAID server. Here is a steps I'm doing: Login to unRAID web interface Visit Docker tab After that Docker tab completely loaded, but become frozen, I can't click anything. It happens not every time, but often. As soon as I run modprobe amdgpu or edit the amdgpu.conf and reboot I get a greenscreen just when the VGA is loaded. I need to remove the file manually from the stick to get it up and running again. Hello, I set up a unraid server for a friend of mine everything seems to be working fine but he is getting an error from fix common problems saying "Your server has detected hardware errors. You should install mcelog via the NerdPack plugin, post your diagnostics and ask for assistance on the unRaid forums. Looks like the most recent update to Safari has broken the terminal window again. When I click the terminal button I just get a mostly blank browser window. I had to revert to 6.6.7, both my WDC_WD40EFRX were not detected after upgrading, only Toshiba was found, so only 1 out of 3 disks (SSD cache was found too). The file included is after reverting - for analyzing, do I have to upgrade once more, and make the diagnostics under 6.7 again? Can this lead to more severe troubles? Since upgrading to 6.9.2 I am received daily cron error emails for logrotate. It states duplicate entries for wtmp and btmp. I cannot find duplicate entries anywhere in /etc/logrotate.conf or /etc/logrotate.d/*. I even commented out the wmtp and btmp entries in /etc/logrotate.conf but I am still receiving the error. If I run logrotate directly from shell, it does not throw an error. It only throws the error when it runs from cron.daily. /etc/cron.daily/logrotate: error: /etc/logrot

When creating a new pool with the name 'system', I get an error telling me I can't name a pool the same a share. This is curious as there doesn't seem to be any possible collisions, you would just get something like /mnt/system/system/ where there is commonality. Strangely, I have created pools in the past that share a shares name, but these were not what appears to be a reserved name. Is this a bug, or just a poorly described error (reserved names?) After upgrading to 6.9.2 I am unable to access the local gui. I get a blinking cursor. I have tried following the CTRL + ALT + F1 instructions and have no been successful. Tried booting in safe mode and the same thing. I can only boot through command line. For some reason I cannot reach my server through IP address either. Everything was working fine prior to the upgrade. I do have a nvidia graphics card but I am not sure how to update it, if at all possible through the command line. Any help is

I have sata-usb adapter with JMS578 controller on a board. Works perfect. But i can not see SMART in webui. i found something about JMS578 - it is needed to use smartctl with -d sat parameter: https://www.smartmontools.org/ticket/841 And it's working from a console. Hi everyone, when synchronising time via Settings -> Date and Time -> Use NTP: Yes I noticed the system time (reported e.g. by $ date) is one second ahead of the actual time. I tried several ntp servers with the same result. Using $ ntpdate pool.ntp.org on the command line however sets it correctly. tower-diagnostics-20211109-2050.zip

Using a brand new Unraid USB key if you go to Settings -> FTP and change the FTP server from Enabled to Disabled then reboot the machine the server will revert back to Enabled. Doing a comparison between the configuration files before the FTP server is set to Disabled and after it's set to Disabled shows that nothing is actually written to any configuration file in the config folder when this setting is changed in the GUI.

I'm not entirely sure where this problem is coming from. I have a few Windows 10 desktop machines. All connect to an unRAID server where I save all my files. I also have an older Windows machine where I back up all of the data from the unRAID server to that older Windows machine.
