Very slow boot, slow webui, random crashes, vm issues
Cannot find any proof in your diagnostics, but my educated guess is that your configured name servers are not reachable during UNRAID boot. They are hidden within a VLAN, which is started quite late, so many timeouts may occur. Set the UNRAID DNS Entries to 8.8.8.8 or something other public and reboot. If the delays are gone, you know what is going on. BTW, it is not needed and not wise to use local DNS servers for UNRAID, there are not many ads to be filtered out. More likely is that you block some updates.

32GB anstatt 64GB RAM angezeigt

Yeah, the builtin UPS support is not better than NUTs (actually I once started with it, got that dropouts and then switched to NUTs just to see that the same evilness happens again 😞 ) Link loss... this maybe a cable problem ("bad cable", not suitable for high speed or too long). Link drops, line settles, link is restored. But this time, it recovered by itself?

Also: COOL BLEIBEN!!!

Random network drops
Yeah, but as I said, it happens on many linux type systems. So we cannot blame UNRAID for it. Good luck!

Also der Switch macht garantiert KEINE 240Hz bzw.

Random network drops
Nothing directly connected to network, but a constant repeating error: you UPS (connected through NUT) loses connection. The NUT daemon runs havoc. This happens with some kind of UPS, the USB Port blocks and the machine becomes unresponsive for some time. This MAY lead to "missing a resume packet" on the LAN (port stopped by flow control, the resume packet could not be received because NUT blocked everything). To see if this is your problem, check two things: 1) if the machine is not reachable again, pull out the LAN cable. After a few seconds put it back in. If it works again then, this is likely the described problem above then: 2) deinstall NUT and unplug the USB Connection to the UPS! If the network problems are gone, better run without UPS notifications. (I even connected the UPS here to a raspberry running NUT, using NUT on UNRAID as a slave. But the "NUT running wild" reappeared on the PI too, UNRAID was not harmed, but the error messages that flooded the logs drove me crazy. So, at the end, I am running an "unconnected" UPS... 😞 The same UPS runs fine on Windows, no dropouts... seems to be a serious driver problem)

Solange man was hinzulernen will und tut, ist alles ok.

Also, entweder V6 an, oder Adresse weg. Entscheide Dich!

is this possible with Unraid?
yes, but you could also put each disk into a seperate "pool" and share the content via smb. The difference is (the term "array" is currently very misleading, because there are two types of arrays which have not much in common. Let us call the "UNRAID array" "UA" and a ZFS RAID array "ZR" in the following text) The UA consists of a "bunch of disks" with optional one or two parity disks. The advantage of this type of array is, that shares can split over disk boundaries (they are automatically collected together again an presented to the client as one piece), the disks can be any size, disks can be added later on, every single disk contains a normal filesystem and can be read by any linux system without any tricks. The optional parity drives sum up all blocks of the data disks and allow a failed disk to be replaced without any loss of data ( dont ask me why there can be 2 parity drives, its a thing for the overcautious types that assume "more than one" drive to fail at once). Drawback is a rather large overhead so with fast lan and fast disks you notice a degregation of speed. There is not read caching, a ssd cache can be added, but only as a write cache for NEW data. (yeah thats bad, I ask for a read cache some years now already, no answer from limetech until now). The only limitations are "1) the parity disk(s) need to be the largest one(s) of all data disks" and "2) maximum of 30 (+2) drives can be used (a limit that you hardly can hit with common PC hardware)" The ZR is a standalone Array based on ZFS and RAID technology. You need disks of same size/type. Depending on the amount of drives its either RAID0, 1, or 5. It contains a bidirectional cache (called "ARC") in RAM which is managed by ZFS itself. Its said to be much faster. I dont know, I have bought UNRAID because I did not want RAID anymore. I was fed up to get replacements for failed drives after some years. So dont ask me how good this works. What you never should do or even consider is to put an ZR into an UA (with parity)! This will make you box creep around like an old dog in the hot sun... This is because the UA parity has to follow each write operation and the ZR uses idle times to "optimize" its internal disks. So there are permanent writes which slow down everything until the IO Bottleneck kicks in and the machine almost comes to a full stop. You do not want this!!! So either trade speed for flexibility or use fast access and be aware that there are problems to come in a few years... From your reading I guess you want it as a backup solution. Then I would recommend to use the UA because you can expand it really easily later on or swap out data disks if they become unstable or something. And if everything fails, you can pull out the datadisks and use it in different machines without loss of any data (but you have to be aware that folders might have become splitted, so it may take more than one disk to copy to get all the content of a single folder (files itselfs are never splitted). And the "mergerfs" you are looking for is automatically builtin. You can select "when to split", but the merge is always there. You can also select if disks are filled up one by one first or split evenly.

Can I easily read a hard drive from the UNRAID system (USB) on a Windows PC?
as @Frank1940 already noted "Unraid is not a Backup Solution". Therefor you need an external Backup somewhere. In my case it is a Windows Server (old hardware) which is usually OFF. Late at night it turns itself ON, autologins the Admin and 5mins later runs a skript that uses robocopy to mirror all the drives from UNRAID. (Aftwerwards it switches itself OFF again). THIS backup is directly usable by windows machines! (unless you use ReFS for the Backup's file systems. This only will work for "upper" windows editions. So stay to NTFS and you are safe.) Of course, this is a little bit expensive (not the backup computer, it is made from old parts that are not in use anymore, but of course, you need the same amount and sizes of UNRAIDs Disks. To save a bit money I pack all the NVME drives from Unraid into a subfolder of a 18G drive on the backup computer. The backup disks MIGHT be a bit smaller because you will unlikely fill up UNRAID completely, but better play it safe. So, if I need to enlarge the space on UNRAID, I buy TWO of the same disks. Put one into UNRAID, the other into the Backup Server. (still have many drive bays free, so I can add another few disks without changing anything)

[Plug-In] Community Applications
hmm... maybe you are right, but I dont see any impact here. Maybe fooled by caches ?
-
[Plug-In] Community Applications
If you just access data locally on UNRAID (with dockers and so on), exclusive shares do not do anything. They come handy if you access them over LAN, by eliminating the FUSE overhead, speed can go up by 100% on 10G LANs when used with NVMe drives. But again, makes no difference if it just locally. Maybe even a unmeasurable bit slower because of the symlink.

Unraid is becoming a liability
Hmm, where is the USB port for the UNRAID Key? I was not aware that machine had one (need to check it up, should be hidden somewhere in the back of the garage...)

[Plugin] CA Fix Common Problems
I guess nobody needs to look into your diagnostics, as you already know that you have been hacked. And usually its not sufficient to "fix" the open door, but to clean up your whole LAN because the hack commonly dropped a malware that has infected every computer "in reach". And also every other LAN device like routers and so on. Happy reinstalling EVERYTHING!

Unraid is becoming a liability
Hey folks, CALM DOWN! It is not uncommon that "enterprise grade hardware" does not really work well with common OSs. I also once had some HP servers that gave trouble everywhere. They contain special devices like HBAs and so on and they only support certain OSs with drivers. Everything else MIGHT work but usually DOES NOT. (in my HP case I had to disable the onboard HBA and put "a real one" into the slot). And you cannot blame companies like limetech for this because companies like DELL or HP or so on do not publish full infos on their devices. They do not want anybody else to get things running on their computers, you should buy THEIR stuff and hire THEIR support. So, I can understand his upsetness, but he is on the wrong track. This will never work out. (yeah, I know, "spend a lot of money!", but its more "wasted a lot of money!")

Problem with all disk periodically spinning up if spun down...
check if you did not accidentally enable "reconstruct write" somewhere (sometimes hidden in a plugin, hard to find). It is often declared as an optimizer or speedup for larger operations. But the drawback is that it wakes up all disks in the array every time a single write is done somewhere.

IPv6 Disabling auto configuration (SLAAC) on my containers
First of all: I go with you! I also seek a "legal" way to disable SLAAC. But almost every OS today has turned it on (even Microsoft reverted to it although former versions honored the "static only" request correctly). What you need to do is to add the MAC address to your firewall instead of the IP! This is common now because the providers usually only offer dynamic prefixes today. So you need to prepare your setup to dynamic addresses. (It's somewhat a step 20yrs backwards, but its the only thing guaranteed to work)

Crashing when copying large amount of small files
if it hangs again next time, just pull out the lan cable, wait 5 seconds and plug it in again. Transfers will abort, but machine/switch may recover. If this is the case, your problem is "not working flow control". Check settings in the computer and the switch. It may happen that someone says "STOP", the other does not honor the request and finally the first one locks up the port to prevent being overrun. Check this out
