[Support] Djoss - HandBrake
No idea. Handbrake can't unlock and decrypt an encrypted disc, that's not what it does. Perhaps you have something like AnyDVD installed, or some other unlocking software that you forgot about? which is presenting the disc as unlocked to handbrake? That is completely doable, unlocking the disc via software and then handing off to handbrake as a disc in a drive.

Also, if you are behind a VPN service, most block open ports unless you are with a VPN provider than allows you to open ports for redirects (like I do with Mullvad).

What I mean is Handbrake is not a decrypting program. So if you are putting in regular movies like DVD or Blu-Ray, and expecting Handbrake to open and re-encode them, it won't do that. Movies (DVD and Blu-Ray) have encryption on them, so you need something to crack the encryption first, like MakeMKV or AnyDVD for example. You can't go directly from Blu-Ray to .MP4 for example with Handbrake alone. It may be trying to read the disc, but it doesn't understand what it is (because it's encrypted), so it spits back title not found.

[Support] Djoss - HandBrake
If it's an encrypted Disc (Like a DVD movie or Blu-Ray movie), handbrake can't open it, since handbrake isn't that kind of app. You would first need to decode it using something like MakeMKV or AnyDVD etc...

@Djoss have you ever considered trying to expose support for Nvidias NVEnc encoder for this container? https://handbrake.fr/docs/en/1.3.0/technical/video-nvenc.html quick and dirty comparison of QSV vs NVENC timings: With the Nvidia plugin, and this container, I think converting movies could benefit with the speed/offloading improvement. Just tested a movie: My Unraid Server, AMD 3700X with 12 threads pinned to Handbrake container standard H264: 36 Minutes @ 4.65 GB Same movie on my Desktop with 3900X and 2080Ti, using H264 NVENC: 11 Minutes @ 7.5 GB Edit: I see I am not the first to ask 🙂https://github.com/jlesage/docker-handbrake/issues/49

[Plugin] Disable Security Mitigations
I noticed with the latest kernel revert, plugin was still using mitigations=off, which won't work on the 4.* kernel, sigh...

6.8.0 RC6 - Starting "ALL" VM's causes VM's to disappear from Dashboard and VM tab
Fired up my first VM from the VM tab in Unraid, and that started fine. Later, I started my second VM, only this time from the Dashboard page. Instantly the VM's disappeared from the VM section on Dashbaord as if I didn't have any, and now in the VM tab of Unraid it also appears as though I have no VM's installed even though they are up and running. After manually stopping one of the VM's (virsh shutdown "vm name"), then they appear again in the menu's. EDIT: We believe that now this is only triggering when ALL your defined VM's are started. As a temporary workaround define a blank VM that you have no intention of starting. noah-diagnostics-20191116-1623.zip

Hey stranger 🙂 For the UN/PW settings for opensubtitle.org, any issues handling longer passwords with special characters? I am using my known working UN/PW, but container fails to start stating incorrect UN/PW, though I know it works. I tried wrapping with "" and '', neither worked from the parameter page. Nothing urgent, just wanted to ask 🙂 - Hope all is well.

I added a firewall rule for the redirect from IP (pfsense as 192.168.1.1) to localhost (127.0.0.1). Not sure it's %100 needed, but wanted to be safe: pfSense settings ( I am using the ups/secret combo as I have a synology on my network, and they are hard coded for that): Unraid client settings: For Synology, choose "Synology UPS server" and then just point it to the IP of pfSense and it should connect since all the prerequisites are already met.- Disabling Spectre/Meltdown/Zombieload mitigation's (PLUGIN AVAILABLE)
Worked great without any need for modifications after the update to 6.8.0 RC1! Thanks Squid for running with this!- Unraid OS version 6.8.0-rc series has started

Good article from Mike L. from Phoronix. New AMD vs Intel impacts: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=3900x-9900k-mitigations&num=1 I believe we will get mds=off in the 6.8rc whenever that comes around.- [Plugin] CA User Scripts
Thanks @itimpi , I have played in SLES in the past using the halt.local and after.local functionality. However, on shutdown (halt.local), I always ran into that timing issue of where in the shutdown process it executed and it was always later in the shutdown sequence than would have ever done me any good, which is why I asked. Ended up just creating some daemon processes that a clean shutdown would tackle. NOTE: Not that there is any issues I have today during shutdown that Unraid is not already taking care of for me.- rsync to Synology NAS
Just an FYI, if you run a Synology NAS, you have access to the free Synology Active Backup app from the app store. It has a wealth of options, from VM backup/restore, to server backup (File Server). I was using this for a while to backup my unraid server, and it was painless.- [Plugin] CA User Scripts
🙂 I've also been using the /extra folder for quite some time. It saves me from having to install the nerdpack plugins, since I can just cherry pick the few packages I need (perl, pigz, ipmi tool, etc...). As well, I can pull from public repo's and update them when I want to, instead of having to bother a dev in here to update a package. stop file is new though! At what part in the shutdown sequence does it run, prior to stopping the array, or after all processes have been stopped right before power off?- X520-DA2 Port Flapping
I just don't think it's the card, especially if you have gone through three so far. Mathematically/Statistically speaking, you are out of bounds for thinking it's the card at this point 🙂 Unless, of course they are all using the same ix driver, and you are triggering a bug somewhere (I have seen things like tcpdump trigger port flapping in LACP bonds before. But that was a Cisco switch and a Broadcom SR-IOV card).. But with that said, I have intel based NIC's and never had an issue..... Do you have any other 10Gb switches other than the Mikrotik? What's the opposite 10Gb device you have on your network? If I look at your topology correctly, your gigabit everything else except for your link between the Mikrotik and your server? 10Gb won't help you if your link from your unifi switches (which appear to be all 1Gb) are 1Gbe. Unless you are using the SFP1 and 2 on your 16 port PoE as a bonded pair (that needs to be setup properly in your UCK as well, and the Mikrotik would also need to support it) into your Mikrotik? But even then, the rest of your devices are 1Gbe, so even if all your clients were saturating the bond, you would max out a 2Gb since those are not SFP+ ports. Sorry, I know I am more looking at your layout then answering your question, but I am curious how you have it all hooked up....- X520-DA2 Port Flapping
You sure it's not your switch that's flapping? I have seen where particular settings will trigger bugs on switches. Maybe one test you could do is when the flapping starts to occur, log into unraid and see if you can ping the adapter locally. If it's flapping I would expect you to see, even locally, a response then not a response etc. Another thing, are you running in a LACP bond or anything? What if you run just one of the ports, do they flap when running by themselves (both ports tested?). Trying to think of way's to rule out the adapter/OS as the cause.....- Unraid 14th Birthday Case Badge Giveaway
In for 2 x 🙂- X520-DA2 Port Flapping
I run them in both my unraid servers as well. China 10GTek ones from Amazon, haven't had any issues. Let me know if I can pull any info for you. Unifi 10Gb backbones via SFP+ (over copper). Brain fart..... I run SuperMicro cards now based on Intel 82599. I USED to run the 10GTek cards....- Disabling Spectre/Meltdown/Zombieload mitigation's (PLUGIN AVAILABLE)
Correct, maybe I worded it wrong, but I wrote: Meaning that for now, nospectre_v1 will work to disable this for our current Kernel. Then, in the future, all we will need is mitigations=off for newer Kernels. Sorry if it reads weird. In the end, as long as we are using nospectre_v1, we are good as this will also be disabled with that, since it's a v1 spectre variant. - [Plugin] NUT v2 - Network UPS Tools
