limetech
This is a bug fix and security update release. Due to a security vulnerability discovered in forms-based authentication: ALL USERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO UPGRADE To upgrade: If you are running any 6.4 or later release, click 'Check for Updates' on the Tools/Update OS page. If you are running a pre-6.4 release, click 'Check for Updates' on the Plugins page. If the above doesn't work, navigate to Plugins/Install Plugin, select/copy/paste this plugin URL and click Install: https://s3.amazonaws.com/dnld.lime-technology.com/stable/unRAIDServer.plg Refer also to @ljm42 excellent 6.4 Update Notes which are helpful especially if you are upgrading from a pre-6.4 release. nuhll
Is it safe to upgrade if you had problems with log spamming VMs? Quote Link to comment
Edrikk
Upgrade from 6.8 to 6.8.1 went without issue. If you don't mind, 1 suggestion, and one behavior comment: Suggestion: Can the login page have the cursor start in the username field upon load? right now it takes a click to get there, which can be saved given username entry is the first action on the page. Comment: In the versions prior to 6.8, one could jump directly to a URL (e.g. http://tower/Docker). i.e. entering username/pass would take you to that page. With the new login form, if the user is *already* authenticated, the browser will take you directly to that URL (given that you're already signed in). However, if you are not logged in, going to (again e.g. above url) will pop the login form as expected, but upon successful authentication you are always taken to "Main". Quote Link to comment
Stripe
Unfortunately after upgrading from 6.8 my server won't boot. Any clues? Quote Link to comment

May not be exactly what you want, but you can change the "start page" the system takes you to via Settings - Management Access (You can select any tab for the default, including any custom ones you may have) Quote Link to comment

urbanracer34
Updated (mostly) without issue. When I restarted from unraid, the UEFI hung and wouldn't process the USB stick. I did a force restart, it found the USB right away and booted without any more trouble. And I had JUST reached a month of uptime today. DERP! Quote Link to comment

pulpfxn
Installation went fine, but I have lost access to preclear. When I try to reinstall, I get the message unRAID version (6.8.1) not supported. Quote Link to comment
tomjrob
Upgraded today. All is good. Thanks for the efforts here. Quote Link to comment

tjb_altf4
Upgraded last night, smooth sailing so far. I did noticed one issue, exiting from the web terminal session kicks you straight into a fresh terminal session. Not great, not terrible :p Quote Link to comment

darrenyorston
My update failed initially. I had to restart about four or five times until I was eventually was able to login. Looking at the verbose script it kept hanging after displaying the lines associated with: Starting Samba: /usr/sbin/smbd -D It never displayed the unRAID Server OS line. It did eventually though. chris_netsmart
just update with no issue with the OS, the only problem I got is with my new Cache Drive and an Unassigned Drive, that for some reasson it didn't like to resolve this I unplug the SATA cables from my motherboard - rebooted with the two unplug and once Unraid was up and running again, I pluged them back in. je82
nice! i hear this may also resolve the slow smb performance of 6.8.0? i am waiting for 6.1 to settle and all the dockers to be updated if need be before i upgrade, great to see a new version so soon! Quote Link to comment
