I don't see a current way of doing this, so.. the ability to check for updates on a single docker at a time would be nice. We shouldn't have to check 10-20-30 dockers at a time when you really only want to update one docker that's being worked on.

The only way for pihole to display client names is to either, 1) use pihole's dhcp instead of your router, or 2) use a hosts file in pihole where it has your static ip address to each client.

So this one is a little more off topic of an Unraid build, rather it was a custom rack build for transferring my Unraid tower into a 4U chassis. I had shopped around for an actual server rack but didn't really find much that suited my desires. I had lots of inspiration from other Lack Rack builds around the internet, and this was my creation. I guess I didn't keep any of the in-progress pictures, but there really wasn't much to see. This was my first attempt and am actually quite pleased with it. The costs in the end probably came close to actually buying some type of rack, but it was fun to make just the same. I didn't keep an exact supplies list.. so this will sound kind of rough.. I started with 5 IKEA Lack end tables for $15 each. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/lack-side-table-high-gloss-white-60193736/ I had to first get an inside length of the legs, so I unplugged the bottom of a leg -- it was about a half inch of particle board to drill out and the rest of the leg is hollow. Measured the inside length of the leg and then got........ Some 1.75" x 1.75" x 36" wood dowels from Home Depot, that fit perfectly (with some light sanding for smoothness) into the legs of the Lack racks for reinforcement. I believe it was that each dowel got me 2 legs plus some extra left over lengths (the top level was the remaining length of the dowel, so it's a shorter level). Then I started the assembly. I thought for support, and alignment, that it would be good to use a dowel in each leg to connect it to the table top. That required some precise placement of the drill bit in the legs and the table top so the holes would line up with the dowel in them. So each leg has a dowel with some glue in them, and some glue on the table where the leg sits. Just to keep everything together a little bit more. Dowel drill kit $10. Then I used those lovely black corner braces on each leg to attach it to the table top for more support. They do work to some extent but the table top is mostly hollow where I screwed them in so most of them aren't really grabbing into any structure.. some of them seemed to hit something, and some didn't. So a few sets of brackets for $3 or so each. For front to rear weight distribution and support where I thought it would be good to have, I used aluminum angle channels as a shelf. They were a set from IKEA, $10 or so. I forget how I attached the wheels... remember that the table top (which was used as the first base platform) is mostly hollow. I think the corners had some material in them. So I forget if I just screwed into them, or if I followed the advice of a youtuber and used plastic wall anchors in the table top, and attached the wheels that way. Actually, I think I might have done that....... The actual pull out shelves are some pieces that were perfectly sized to use from my old computer station I had customized a few years ago. Worked out perfectly. Added some handles to them to pull out the shelves. Beautiful! After I did that and put some stuff on the shelf and pulled it out.. I said doh! I have to hold the shelf up so it doesn't just fall down! I added another strip of the wood channel to keep the shelf in place when I pull it out. It's its own support bracket. The XBOX and PS4 game shelf ---- might not work for the PS5 and/or new Xbox... LOL! Those things are huge! But the black shelf is something I already had, and I customized it with some metal corner brackets to keep the PS4 in place., the shelf is also secured to the shelf with some hose clamps. Front and back corners have corner brackets on them so the PS4 sits there and won't fall out. The Xbox has little L brackets around it to keep it in place. So does the cable modem on the side. The HDMI matrix is secured to the shelf as well. I think that pretty much sums up the rack. It was a fun little project. In the end I might of been up to around $250 or so in supplies.. but totally worth it. It's actually upside down so that the printer sits inside the shelf and has another inch or so of clearance. I actually had 2 of these but one was defective and returned it, then decided for now I didn't need a second one. So there you have it. A very custom, compulsively designed, IKEA Lack Rack.. for Unraid.

I believe the only difference is that they are built on different base versions of linux images. It makes no practical difference. I personally prefer the non-binhex one, visually it looks a little better on my system.

So I have not perfected my own backup solution yet.. but these are a couple things I've tried and they all work fine enough. Nextcloud --- the overhead to run this might not be worth the effort, I do still currently have this running. Google Photos app (on iOS and Android) to automatically back up your gallery to your google account (this is also running currently) icloudpd Docker https://hub.docker.com/r/boredazfcuk/icloudpd/ I used this very briefly to test the downloading of photos from iCloud. It worked fine, but every so often you have to refresh the cookie to keep downloading, so it's not a "set and forget" solution. It also will not *only* download new photos.. it will download ALL your photos, or only the X-number of new photos. There's no in-between to only download new/missing photos. So in effect, if you download 50 photos -- move those photos from the download location to your photo storage location -- and then download again, you'll have all the same photos downloaded. This can create a nightmare of duplicate photos to have to sort through. GooglePhotosSync docker -- to download from the Google account (used in conjection with the Google Photos app).. I honestly forget if I used this one at all... Essentially no matter what you do it will not be an automatic process. There will be some degree of "problems" due to duplicate photos, etc. I'm still trying to figure out the best process for myself. The main problem is that leaving the photos on the phone necessitates anti-duplication.

You don't need the template for LibreElec to work, you can run the latest version as a VM. However you need a graphcis card to pass through in order to work. There's only ever been one modified LibreElec version that would work with no GPU, and that's an old version now also.

Ah, my mistake, you're one of these cry baby millennials that think everyone owes you something, I apologize for hurting your feelings. You mention about paying for a product, ok so you paid for your IO devices so go back to that company for driver support.. don't take out your frustration on Unraid. Oh wait, you can't, because the hardware is obsolete. Yet you want it to magically be brought back to life just for you. Typical.

So you expect limetech to implement something that isn't even compatible in the first place, is not maintained by the original manufacturers, is not built into the native linux package that unraid runs on, create, develop, and maintain something that would have to be rebuilt every time there was an update? Because 5 people have some obscure, obsolete hardware? I mean, maybe limetech would be interested in doing this... I can't speak for them. But they need to maintain stability for that mass market that you mentioned, not so much for some old stuff that very few people seem to have.

You missed old docker images.. check that too.. And by some chance, you could have a lot of logs piling up too... you can check for log sizes like this du -ah /var/lib/docker/containers/ | grep -v "/$" | sort -rh | head -60 | grep .log There's a user script to easily delete docker logs should you need it.

That looks pretty good.. you should upload your script for us! I can't help ya on this because I don't know how to implement the themes, but you might be able to gain some insight by dissecting the current theme plugin and see how it applies stuff on a permanent basis. You can download the plugin file and extract it like a zip file to see how it's put together.

Since nobody explained what reflink was supposed to be/do I guess it could have also been a cool new pizza oven for XFS and Unraid.. it seems that reflink is mostly used for file system block sizes. It might have some effect on overall overhead of the file system but it's not directly for that, it would seem. Already provided that script, you just have to customize it. And you've already been told that the CA Appdata Backup plugin has an option for the boot drive as well. So in the case of writing to another USB rather than a location on the array, you'd modify the destination path to whatever you have mounted in your unasssigned devices. /mnt/user/disks/Backup_USB_Name

Yes the dockers can seed. Yes they transfer out. One possibility is that of those 3 torrents you have shown, there's only 4/3/3 peers on them with 15/9/6 seeds... the low number of peers might not need any of your data. It's pretty rare to not have anything uploaded though. You might look at your router to see if any sort of outgoing connections are blocked, and see which services are disabled that might otherwise need to be enabled.

cp -R /mnt/user/metadates/movies/ /mnt/user/movies/ Should work. Why don't you have the metadata going to the proper location to begin with? Would solve your problem without needing a daily script. You could also use rsync and might be better. I'm not sure what the default action is for cp if you have duplicate files.. might prompt you to overwrite or skip, didn't look if there's an option to automatically skip. rsync might offer more flexibility.

I'm not sure where your problem is. You should probably put nextcloud on 443 like it's supposed to be and see if that works. I'd also see if you can get nextcloud to work with a dynamic ip service like duckdns. If that works like it should then you know it's a problem with the cloudfare stuff. I had never used nextcloud, letsencrypt, or reverse proxies and mine worked right away with duckdns so something you are doing is not working right.

Unfortunately I don't. Not very familiar with htaccess.. only ever used it once for a basic website. Way, way long ago. You may be able figure something else by anyone else that had the same problem. I googled ".htaccess load resources" and came up with the resource problem.
