hernandito
Hi, Perhaps this is a dumb request, but I want to make my Unraid a headless system. No keyboard, no monitor. The only thing is that I will not be able to tell when the Unraid finishes booting up, and if SABnzbd has also successfully loaded. Perhaps "something" at the end of the Go script to sound successful boot process, and another "something" within the SABnzd dependencies script (in the Go file) that signals it loaded SABnzbd. The "somethings" would be a series of beeps that makes a unique "song" when each event occurs. One could be like the Valkrie "Charge" series of beeps, and the other could be a separate identifiable series of beeps. My motherboard does make beeping sounds... I am not a Linux expert, am I being crazy? Thanks. H. Quote Link to comment
opentoe
At least in my world most servers are stuck in closets, back rooms, and those creepy places people usually don't visit. I would recommend you install an email alert upon bootup, and then somehow another one to let you know that SAB loads. Quote Link to comment
BRiT
Feel free to modify your own "go" script to use the /bin/beep command. For instance: beep -f 700 ; beep -f 500 ; beep -f 700 ; beep -f 500 Quote Link to comment
Spectrum
Kanth posted a beep sequence that's really close to the Super Mario Bros. theme ... #When EVERYTHING IS UP... tell the user! Queue Mario Theme!!! /boot/spencercustom/beep/smb The last line is cool.. when the unraid server is COMPLETELY up.. and all the customization is done.. it plays the super mario brother's theme on the pc speaker using beep code is: beep -f660 -l100ms -D 130ms beep -f660 -l100ms -D 170ms beep -f660 -l100ms -D 150ms beep -f510 -l100ms -D 80ms beep -f660 -l100ms -D 150ms beep -f770 -l100ms -D 275ms beep -f380 -l100ms -D 575ms Quote Link to comment

neilt0
unRAID already makes beeping noises as it boots and once it's established a LAN connection. Doesn't it? Mine does. Quote Link to comment
prostuff1
unRAID already makes beeping noises as it boots and once it's established a LAN connection. Doesn't it? Mine does. My Dell test server does, but I don't have the case speaker hooked up to my production server to test. It is an interesting idea and I think one that I will mess with when I get some free time. kizer
I recentely added Mario to my go script because I get the beep, but its so fast I don't catch it sometimes. However if I step out for a second I hear Mario playing I know I'm good to go. Sounds like unRAID needs its own theme jingle. LOL Quote Link to comment

dragonfyre13
OK, here I go resurrecting an old thread, but this one isn't exactly a "currently relevant" thing. Still useful. "There, I fixed it". Big mario fan, have had this sitting around for some time, think I originally did it based off of sheet music or something. This has proper delays and durations in it, the one above just blasts along. Just put it into my go script as the last line, to notify me when everything is done. beep -f330 -l138 -n -f330 -l275 -n -f330 -l138 -D138 -n -f262 -l138 -n -f330 -l275 -n -f392 -l550 -D550 -n -f262 -l413 -n -f196 -l138 -D275 -n -f164 -l275 -D138 -n -f220 -l275 -n -f247 -l138 -D138 -n -f233 -l138 -n -f220 -l275 -n -f196 -l206 -n -f330 -l206 -n -f392 -l275 -n -f440 -l275 -n -f349 -l138 -n -f392 -l138 -D138 -n -f330 -l275 -n -f262 -l138 -n -f294 -l138 -n -f247 -l413 -n -f262 -l413 -n -f196 -l138 -D275 -n -f164 -l275 -D138 -n -f220 -l275 -n -f247 -l138 -D138 -n -f233 -l138 -n -f220 -l275 -n -f196 -l206 -n -f330 -l206 -n -f392 -l275 -n -f440 -l275 -n -f349 -l138 -n -f392 -l138 -D138 -n -f330 -l275 -n -f262 -l138 -n -f294 -l138 -n -f247 -l413 -D275 -n -f392 -l138 -n -f370 -l138 -n -f349 -l138 -n -f311 -l275 -n -f330 -l138 -D138 -n -f207 -l138 -n -f220 -l138 -n -f262 -l138 -D138 -n -f220 -l138 -n -f262 -l138 -n -f294 -l138 -D275 -n -f392 -l138 -n -f370 -l138 -n -f349 -l138 -n -f311 -l275 -n -f330 -l138 -D138 -n -f523 -l275 -n -f523 -l138 -n -f523 -l550 -n -f392 -l138 -n -f370 -l138 -n -f349 -l138 -n -f311 -l275 -n -f330 -l138 -D138 -n -f207 -l138 -n -f220 -l138 -n -f262 -l138 -D138 -n -f220 -l138 -n -f262 -l138 -n -f294 -l138 -D275 -n -f311 -l275 -D138 -n -f294 -l275 -n -f262 -l550 1 Quote Link to comment
