Checked my Plex GUI no access so I checked the log it was stuck in a loop so I deleted the docker and ran the setup now I am getting this on startup.

Has anyone recently had issues regarding Duplicates? I've downloaded a couple superior sources and rather than Duplicating them, they've been added as separate movies in the library, one even with differing artwork to the default of the original.

Guys, I have this version of Plex running well on my unRAID server. I have a 1650 GPU in my box and use it for hardware transcoding. I also have a Ryzen 3200g with integrated Radeon Vega 8 graphics.

 

Lately I have been considering setting up a VM to stream games and apps to my laptop instead of buying a new more powerful laptop. This means directing the 1650 to the VM.

 

Is it possible to use the Radeon Vega instead of the 1650 for hardware transcoding and will it be any good?

Perhaps.  Plex does not officially support AMD GPUs (integrated or PCIe) for transcoding in Linux/Docker.

 

Some say they have managed to make it work, so perhaps you have a shot, but, Plex won't help you with it if you have problems.

 

Here is a recent post on the Plex forums from someone who says they were successful in getting in to work.

i know it may have been mentioned in here but to save me reading 192 pages.  is anyone able to confirm if there is a fix for the cache write issue?

 

is it as simple as changing from BTRFS to XFS?

So I recently ran into an issue where my cache filled up 100%. To fix this i ran the mover and it seemed like it caused all the docker files to become read-only (my guess). Most of the docker containers were looking broken so i restarted the docker service. Now I'm trying to restart plex but I'm getting the below in the logs

Maybe you have something wrong with your server configuration and that is causing other problems. 

 

Go to Tools-Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.

I am having this exact issue after I updated the plex docker application to the latest version. I am on unraid 6.9.0-beta35. Haven't updated to version rc2 yet. 

Everything was up and functioning until after the update.

My cache was not full. I had  1tb of space available. This didn't effect my docker service or anything. All my other containers are working normally. Plex is the only application with problems. When I stated "This Exact Issue", I am referring to the Plex Docker Container Log.

Morning Plexers!

 

Weird issue was recently discovered on my server this morning. Plex is not identifying "unplayed" media for me to make a smart-playlist.

I have a collection made up of seven shows. When I go back into the main Library and filter it by "Collection", and then by episode; it says "Active Filter has no matches". When I go into Custom Filter, I choose both "Collection" and "Unwatched Episodes", it still shows episodes that have been watched.

 

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Are you referring to the "smart-playlists" and how they can automatically update when new episodes come out?

Yes but i saw on a plex forum that its not so smart like you can make smart search but only the first time after that if i add a movie plex is not going to add it to my playlist like i thought it would

I haven't honestly used it for movies, mostly TV shows.

I specifically have three smart-playlists active on my server (Wrestling, Arrow-verse, and Star Trek). Each is first put in a collection, and then filtered by "Unwatched episodes, then sorted by release date". You turn that into a smart-playlist and then when a new episode airs it "should" turn up on the bottom.

 

However, as you can see below my posts underneath your original one. There seems to be an issue with smart-playlists right now I think.

Having a recent problem that has occurred - plex will no longer transcode/sync files to other devices. Running the most recent version, attached plex logs. Not sure if this should go here or there, or who has some experience with it (most of these requests that I have gone through on the plex forum seem to have no response).

 

Trying to sync some content to an iphone with the most recent version, plex pass, hardware transcoding. 

I have tried to disable and re-enable hardware transcoding in plex with no change. Also tried removing docker image, reinstalling the container, etc

A few files have transferred, but did not require transcoding, or ones that did took a VERY long time (1x speed)

Hi is anyone here using Plex on a reverse proxy?

I have installed Letsencrypt (Swag now) and have setup Plex and other dockers on proxynet.

I can get it all to work, but I can't get Plex to be green on remote access.

I have specified public port as 1443 (used Spaceinvaders guide) and setup custom server access URLs as my https://plex.xxx.xx domain.

I can't get it to work on remote access no matter what I try and it says indirect playback and max 2 mbps on my cell phone outside my home network, have disabled any bandwidth limitations.

 

Can someone please help me:)?

Why are you trying to run in through a reverse proxy?  Just sign into plex.tv and your server is available world wide.

Along these lines, what would be the best way to do a clean install of plex to make sure everything (setting etc) would be cleared, while maintaining watched and date added/etc status

Likely solved. Not EXACTLY sure what did it, but I ended up making sure the conversion were empty on the server, deleted everything on the phone and another device that had some episodes synced to it, deleted the transcode folder, reinstalled the container, and it seems to be working now. I have a feeling a previously failed batch of sync/conversion that happened when my server had a network issue last week somehow managed to hold everything up

No.

 

You can sign into your plex server from plex.tv at any time from anywhere, doesn't matter what ports it's on or any subdomain that it might be connected to ..  so you're only making more work for yourself.

 

But you can continue to set it up, doesn't really matter.  It's obviously a port issue if you're not getting outside access, and/or a forwarding issue for the domain.  Do you have 32400 open?  I believe that's required no matter what.

So you essentially need the databases folder for watched status, etc.
