Do you know what this issue is? I am running rc7 6.8.0

Yes, this one is a bit strange, I'll need to dig deeper to figure out what's the issue

Hi, this generally appears when some  software other than unraid is listening on port 443.

This can happen if you have a proxy in place, you can probably look into that.

I'm thinking to rewrite the plugin, so that this will be a non-issue in the future.

Hey there,

Just posting my two cents as I was blocked for quite sometime to connect with ControlR.

Password with special characters will have a tendancy to mess around (":"";" or other"$"). When switching for testing to only alphanumeric characters, it worked like a charm.

I am still wondering what my next choice is, stay alphanumeric and a longer password or ditch ControlR app.

Any thoughts on where does it came from or if it is something that could be fixed?

Bests,

Ty

More alphanumeric characters is way better for security than a few special characters. The longer the password the better. A camel case 5 word sentence with no spaces is WAY more secure than 8 special characters.

Hi. Just downloaded your app and found a bug...

Don't know if someone reported this already, but 43 pages are far to many to scan for information :).

Bug description:

Docker status "paused" ist not shown correctly. My paused docker containers are shown as "started".

On version Unraid 6.8.3 and not seeing any of my docker containers or VMs.

It's working for me on the latest app version and 6.8.3, I'll double check later today and post back the findings.

  • 2 months later...

Thanks for this app! Works quite well even with 6.9.0b22

  • 6 months later...

At some point in the last month or so this app has stopped working for me and i can no longer connect to my unraid.  Possible it's because I updated to 6.9.0-rc1 and went in on the early access My Servers thing?

Edit: my app is on iPhone if that makes a difference

If you're accessing from within your LAN, I'd say you should be able to access.

Did any of your network settings changed ?

Were you accessing via https or http ?

  • 2 months later...

Hey there,

just purchased and installed ControIR on my Android phone. I am trying to access my Unraid server (LAN, version 6.9.1) which is accessible via web GUI from my desktop, but I can't add my server in the app (neither automatic nor manual works). What can I do to add my local server?

I can no longer connect to my server from this app I also cannot change the port number

all good now, I forgot that you have to connect to port 80 and not the controlr port

  • 2 months later...

When I start the android app I can see my unraid server screen for a blink of a second and then the screen goes white. When I check the server logs it shows a successful login. Reinstalled the app - same, resinstalled the plugin - same, restarted the plugin -same same. Since this morning. Any idea whats happening ?

That's odd.

Have you made any other change to the server ?

Upgraded Unraid ?

Changed SSL settings ?

Can you check the plugin log for any potential issues (the log is at /boot/logs/controlr.log) ?

Hi there,

I do have exactly the same problem with the App.

Same story, uninstalled/reinstalled the app and so on, but screen flips over to white. In the unraid- logs it says "Successful login".

I am at work at the moment, but i shall check the logs later today and report back here.

Hi everybody,

As i came home from work, i did some testing out...

I restarted "ControlR" at the Unraid dashboard side.

Then i restarted the app installed at my Android phone (Samsung S8 plus) but again returning with a white screen.

It seems the app wants to load, because it begins with the normal screen and within a second it turns out totally white.

I checked the output of "/boot/logs/controlr.log" and this is what i get:

Well, the app seems to be crashing, it looks like some value returned from the server is different than what it was before.

Can you post your Unraid version? Maybe something changed recently ?

I'll check locally later today or possibly tomorrow.

Thanks for the reply 😉

My running Unraid version at the moment is: Version: 6.9.2

This is the last output of the log, so i think something is happening on the Unraid-side...

I must notice that i do remember 3 days ago, a bunch of plugins where updated.

Soon after that the problem started with the app's screen turning white...

i think it were these plugins:

Hey, Just wanted to confirm that i am experiencing the same whitescreen issue as noted above. Should i upload my logs as well?

Thanks, the app 'reads' from unassigned.devices, so it's now the primary suspect for the crash :)

I'm unable to replicate the issue though on my server (6.8.3) with unassigned.devices installed, but I don't have any actual unassigned device.

Can anyone having problems run the support script on their server ?

Here's how to do it

This will hopefully help me track down the root cause.
