update_cron is part of the OS itself, and is supposed to run every boot unless you're in safe mode.  Can you reply back with your diagnostics.

FWIW, my custom stuff gets added no problems on every boot....

This is TowerVM01 that's running a Disk-Rebuild currently and was rebootet upfront.

I can confirm that the "custom schedules" worked during all reboots on all servers here on all releases before 6.12.4 (coming from 6.11.5). It's the virtualized servers that don't run upgrade_cron any longer. I will address that in a Bug Report.

The only things I changed on all servers before upgrading to 6.12.4 were:

- Enable bonding=yes

- Enable bridging=no

- Host access to custom networks=yes

- Enable autostart=no (to make the three changes above before starting the array)

Thanks for your time.

Please have a look at this answer from @itimpi for my Bug Report regarding update_cron not running in a virtualized Unraid server. As far as I do understand, he adds required cron entries during plugin start. Perhaps you two can talk ... ?

Thanks.

Has there been a recent change? I had a few super basic scripts and I wanted to make few changes however when i hit edit on the scripts no window pops up. I tried deleting the scripts and creating new ones , I can create, edit name and description but I can not edit the script itself. Any ideas?

I am getting the same issue as BigRed8150. It was working earlier today.

I just tried it, nothing happens when clicking the "edit script" button. No windows pop up.

Just checked my server running 6.12.4 and I do not see a new window popup.   Instead an edit area opens up on the current page.

Have the same issue. Running 6.12.4. Can edit the name and description but not the script itself. Tried 3 different browser.

@Squid The script edit on 6.12.4 seems to ba having an issue.  I can confirm the 'Edit Script' doesn't seem to be working.

@SquidI'm experiencing the same as the others. I took a quick video of the issue.

Here is a video https://monosnap.com/file/QjtqsB9WAGEMEfny0zmHUrK0hXNZLe

And this is what is in the console:

Tried the following:

Chrome (Windows & Mac)

Firefox (Mac)

Safari (Mac)

Brave (Windows)

Edge (Windows)

Internet Explorer (Windows)

Everything worked on editing a script except for Internet Explorer, but since Unraid doesn't support it to begin with (and the GUI won't even load on it) I'm not worried about IE

Is it an ad blocker or something?

I'm on a mac running macos 13.5.1 and using Chrome Version 116.0.5845.140 , I just disabled all extensions and went to an Incognito window and can still replicate the issue.

Anything I can grab or try that might help narrow it down?

Identical to me.  Trying to make arrangements with someone so I can TeamViewer into their system to see what is wrong.  IE: You can't fix what ain't broke

I am not in a tech field so it might be not even related,  but It seems issue started when I got the latest Unraid Connect update yesterday.

those people having issue, do you have the latest unraid connect?

And that's how you replicate it.

Simple solution -> uninstall Connect (although LT / @ljm42 would probably yell at me for even suggesting that)

But now I have something to work on...

Thanks for looking into it! much appreciated!

Definitely! I am having the same issue as well.

This is a connect issue, not a User Scripts issue.

Connect also breaks editing a file with Dynamix File Manager

@ljm42

That makes sense... I remember connect being updated just a day or two ago.

Hi All - We have a fix and are publishing a Connect plugin update to fix it today. Thanks for letting us know.

Unraid Connect v2023.09.07.1147 has been released to remedy the conflict in the javascript causing the bug while editing.

Thank you for the quick fix!
