If you are only using it for transcoding it makes no difference at all.

Ok, but....

A310 = 124,90

4GB @ 2Ghz or 1Ghz for the ECO version.

and

A380 = 127,-

6GB @ 2Ghz

So I've purchased the A380. Maybe I want to start playing Minecraft on it some day. :)

Solution:

- manually created /boot/config/plugins/dynamix.system.temp/drivers.conf with

it87
k10temp

- edited /boot/config/plugins/dynamix.system.temp/sensors.conf

chip "k10temp-pci-00c3"
label "temp1" "CPU Temp"
chip "it8613-isa-0a30"
label "temp1" "MB Temp"

Saved, went to the sensors, it87 k10temp were already on the field, clicked SAVE, then loaded the 2 labeled ones on the "sensors" section for CPU/MB temps.

Thanks for the plugin, it is TRULLY BIZARRE that in 2024 unRAID doesn't have CPU temp natively like any free HomeNAS/Server tool does and we need to install plugins, runs commands, edit files and all this manually.

Please post that over in the appropriate plugin thread since this is not related to the IT87 plugin.

Not really a valid point for me especial because you can get the A310 for around Eur. 100,- over here and it has only a TDP from 30W and the A380 has a TDP from 75W.

Such things always depend on the preference and use case... Anyways this should not be topic of this thread.

You are right. Thanks for your advice but for me this is only a temporary solution. As soon as the iGPU works it will be removed from this setup.

I had not thought in advance that the iGPU from the 285K would not be supported for this setup. And then I am glad that I found out so quickly via this forum what the problem exactly is.

Edit: found my issue 😅😂 here the fix -> Go in GPU Statistics Setting -> Scroll down to find Intel_top_command_timeout: -> put   .7 1.3

Hi Ich, I am not sure if its there I need to get help or in GPU Statistic thread but since few update -> the GPU Statistic don't show my iGPU stats. see picture

firefox_HkCjaqahEn.png.52bedcab485eb09a0bd61e405adb705d.png

intel_gpu_top in terminal work #1

only with the GPU Statistic it doest work.

it worked before I update the plugins (not sure which one caused the issue, I batch update all my plugins at once 😌) and suddenly it show me "Vendor command returned unparseable data"

CPU= Intel i9 14900k

I also attached the diagnostics in case you need it

Thanks for help

This is an issue with GPU Statistics, I would recommend to report it over there.

Ok, I'm still having a problem. Hope someone knows what to do next.

I just installed an Intel Arc A380 in an external case from Razer (Core X). It shows up in "System Devices".

image.thumb.png.347353023b02caf6c1c269cf2500032e.png

And I can pass it thru to a VM

image.png.960028449d3f0d168d2143f809540ecb.png

So I installed the INTEL-GPU-TOP and GPU Statistics and selected the card from the GPU Statistics settings.

image.thumb.png.18e697fea3b14f0b72753cbd162bec4c.png

But... it does not give any stats.

image.png.d750fb0977dc227a9a735ce41620ebc7.png

And also when I go into the console and type "cd /dev/cri" it tells me that there is "No such file or directory"

image.png.94bc647634f641a94e51bdeb09a39c60.png

I believe this should result in something else correct? Does anyone know what to do and how I can get this and Emby working with this GPU?

I have a Unraid 7.0.0 RC1 installed on a Intel i9 285K.

Help is very appreciated.

🙃 now with Diagnostics file

First of all please remove those lines from the go file:

modprobe i915
chmod -R 777 /dev/dri

Are you sure that the card is seated correctly and that all cables are plugged in properly if the card has a external power connector:

Please make sure that you are on the latest BIOS version, you are booting with UEFI, enable Resizable BAR Support and Above 4G Decoding (or Support for Huge Address Tables).

Ok, I removed the lines from the go file.

The card did work on my work laptop and the GPU is present in Windows Device Manager without a problem. And the GPU does not have a extra PCIe power connector.

Bios is updated to the latest version before I installed Unraid on it.

Running in UEFI mode.

Resizable BAR was already enabled

But could not find "Above 4G Decoding" or "Support for Huge Addres Tables". My bios has a search function and it gave no result.

Restarted the computer but still same problem.

Anything else we can try? Here is also the new Diagnostic file from after the change.

Is this a PCIe card? How did you put that in your Laptop?

Is it also working in Windows?

It shows up just fine in Unraid in the "device manager" too but the driver doesn't load:

I really don't know, the A380 that I have is working fine on Unraid 7.0.0-rc.1

Do you had the drivers for the card installed on Windows? Just because it does basic output without drivers doesn't mean it works properly.

It could be also be the case that this card isn't compatible with your Motherboard yet and no one reported it yet to ASUS so to speak a firmware issue.

Yes it is a PCIe card. Just in an external eGPU case. Connected to the laptop with a Thunderbolt 3 cable.

I downloaded the driver and installed it on Windows. It showed up like it should without question marks. However I did not try to connect a HDMI cable to it.

Next step for me is to try to create a VM with it and have the VM boot up. Did not tried that yet.

Could it be something with my Thunderbolt settings perhaps? Does Unraid support Thunderbolt 5?

You have connected the card through Thunderbolt to your Unraid Server?

Yes the card is in an external GPU enclosure.

Thunderbolt is hit and miss on Linux AFAIK and not supported on Unraid.

Sorry but can't give support for a GPU connected through Thunderbolt.

if in the end thats the main purpose for the card, then this plugin and dashboard is out of scope anyway as the cards are then running inside the VM and not useable (showing stats) outside anyhow anymore, just as note.

Main and only purpose is hardware transcoding for the Emby Docker for as long as the iGPU from the intel Ultra 9 285K is not supported.

The iGPU should be supported with Kernel 6.7+ however Unraid 7.0.0 will probably stay on the LTS Kernel 6.6.x for now.

As said above, no support for Thunderbold on Unraid.

Hmm guess I’m stuck with software transcoding for now. :(

Thanks for all the support. If I make any progress I’ll let it know.

Does this plugin now support Ultra5 245K and other 15th-generation processors?

Which one? Intel GPU TOP?

Yes it would but do keep in mind it is not supported by the Kernel, therefore it won't work properly.

Alright, it seems we’ll have to wait for the UNRAID system update. Thank you for your reply!

Now that unraid is running linux kernel 6.6.66 and it supports xe will this plugin be updated to support it as well?
