For example: I have two instances of HomeAssistant installed on my unRaid, one for production, one for testing. Setup of two is easy, I just change the directory they install in, and set different ports in HA configuration for the test instance. However, when I setup the advanced view, change the "WebUI" line so that it uses the new port, it also appears to "change" the link for the production instance as well. With both configured, if I click on the production HA Icon in u

I just spent an entire night trying to reload my backup. I need legacy boot mode because previously I have experienced GPU passthrough not working in UEFI mode. However, the restored backup only works in UEFI but not in legacy mode. HOW TO REPRODUCE 1. Download a usb stick backup from Main > Flash Device > Flash Backup 2. On another usb stick, restore the backup using Mac OS Unraid USB Creator (Version 1.8) Local Zip option, selecting the zip file from step 1 3.

Noticed my unraid randomly freeze over night after being on for a while. Have to shut the whole PC down. I looked in the logs and saw a bunch of these errors. Firstly, this bug affects [likely] all versions of unraid. If you do a ``docker network inspect bridge`` you will notice it does not have the --ipv6 flag enabled meaning no container will ever be able to make a ipv6 connection. You can test this yourself by running ``docker run -it --rm --network=bridge ping ipv6.google.com`` But you will also notice something peculiar. Something that was unacceptable in 2010, and unheard of post 2012... ``docker run -it --rm --network=ho

I was trying to VNC Remote into one of my VMs from my iPhone to get Teamviewer launched. For the password it was putting in a 4 instead of a $ from the iOS keyboard.

TLDR: After running a trust on the parity drive which was disabled, I now have an additional drive which I don't own, and couldn't physically be in the server as there are no more slots. Hello, I've had a quick search through the forum but I suspect I'm not using the right terminology. I'm very new to unRAID, literally only installed it yesterday (twice, now I understand it a bit more). I have an old HP MicroServer N36L ru

Observed behavior: When the web GUI is accessed, the domain.cfg is rewritten to. This seems to occur just after the login. Infrequently, this also happens when clicking to a different page within the web GUI, such as clicking on "Dashboard" or "Main" tabs, but usually the domain.cfg is rewritten only just after login. There are no apparent changes to domain.cfg in the process. VM's are disabled and has never been set up. (I am assuming that domain.cfg pertains to VM's based on the file contents.

When I start a docker container from the terminal using the -it flag the logs in the ui are cut off from the left, the first few characters are not shown. This only happens when I use the -it flag. Example command: docker container run -it nginx bay-diagnostics-20210102-2120.zip

If "Sharename" uses the cache setting "Yes" and I try to move a file from the array to the cache as follows: echo "/mnt/disk8/Sharename/foo/bar.txt" | /usr/local/sbin/move -d 1 It returns a "no space left" error altough there is enough space (does not happen if "Prefer" has been set): Dec 31 16:17:25 Tower move: move: file /mnt/disk8/Sharename/foo/bar.txt Dec 31 16:17:25 Tower move: move: create_parent: /mnt/disk8/Sharename error: No space left on device Expected result: Tower

Relogging this as a new issue as obviously nobody has provided any attention or severity to any of the previous issues any customer has raised. Symptom documented here. My post was closed by some editor hence why there's no progress nor fixes on this in any of the betas. Sorry this is ridiculous. I have paid for this and invested a lot of time - why should this need to be rebooted every two days. I set up automated logging and rebooting after getting bored with this disapp

When waking from S3 Sleep, all of the Disks are spun up. However, when I go to the Main tab, all of the Devices are shown as being in Standby Mode. For this reason, the drives never spin down after inactivity (mine is set to 15 minutes). I have to manually spin down the disks. Attached is the System Log. The Server starts up (usually) at 15:50 each day. I'm on Unraid Version 6.8.3. Dynamix S3 Sleep 2020.05.10 elysia-syslog-20200630-1505.zip

Im running the Mac client (1.25.0.1511-47afccd4) on my new MacBook with the M1 chip. When I place my mouse pointer on a Library, the "on mouse over" text gets scrambled up. Don't know it this comes from the regatta emulation, or something else.

I had a real scare last night. Right now I am using Internet off of my cell phone. Internet on my main network is down. I noticed that my plex container needed updating. without thinking I opted to update and answered yes to the question to "Are you sure" question. The Update process proceeded, without checking to see if a network connection can be established with the update server. It then proceeded to pull 0 bytes, then went through the upgrade process. Including removing the docker co

unRaid version=6.8.3; No cache drives/pool; no SSDs all HDDs, 10 drives + parity drive I have been an unraid user since about 2010. Recently I noticed I could not spin down one of my disks and the parity disk. In the past I was sure I was able to spin all disks down and they stayed down until accessed. To be precise they do spin down (using capabilities of the main gui page either by disk or using "spin Down" button) however they spin back up after a few seconds. The data disk and t

After I upgraded the system I cannot mount any of Unraid NFS shares from debian client. It seems that NFS is not working at all, not even locally. I have no way of replicating my findings and I only use NFS, not SMB. It's only related to the Windows Creator and not the Mac version as @xanderflix found out. Several methods have been tested by multipe users: reformatting renaming the volume usb3 to usb2 adapter cable to force usb2 mode the serial number should be readable as mentioned by @guybrush2012 Screenshot: Not found by the creator: Sandisk USB 3.1 Ultra Fit I tested these two:

I stumble on a potential bug in this version. If you put a period in the ident name IE: unraid.local and reboot you are locked out of the webgui. However you can just change it back on the command line through: boot/config/ident.cfg. Then reboot and the webgui will work again. I changed mine to unraid-xxxxx instead as a workaround.

This is something I saw on multiple machines and now as I'm testing Unraid through a VM, I was able to reproduce it. This error happens only on very first boot of Unraid: warning: file_put_contents(/boot/config/plugins/dynamix/monitor.cron): failed to open stream: not such file or directory in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include Wrappers.php on line 26

I'm running two containers based on the same image. This setup breaks the automatic removal of old, unused Docker images. This is what happened when I tried updating: Have both containers running. Go to Docker tab, select "apply update" on one of the containers. When the updater has run the command to start the container again, it tries removing the old image. It says "Removing orphan image <image id>", "Error: Image can not be deleted, in use by other containe

I have many dockers that have delays to start when the array comes up. If I send a stop array command before they have finished coming up, the system gets stuck trying to shut down the array. Checking on the command line, none of the array drives are mounted except the cache because the docker.img is still mounted. Manually unmounting docker.img seems to allow the system to gracefully continue the stop array.
