If I add a VM or edit an existing VM my credentials (e.g. root user and root password) are set in the two entryfields:   root user --> Unraid Share root password --> VNC Password   I'm running Chrome.

I have the problem that my Cache Pools stays active (green) permanently. It is not possible to send them in standby with the spin down function. This worked perfectly in 6.8.3, even with the timer. My Idle power consumption is higher since I have some more SATA and NVME SSDs all without standby. Is there a way to fix this?

Hello,   I have upgraded to 6.9.1 a few days ago and everything seemed to be working okay so far.   However, I noticed that my 'memory log' was at 100% today. (This bar was red at 100%)   I rebooted my server and since then I am facing errors regarding one of my array-disks:   Mar 15 11:34:35 Server kernel: XFS (dm-2): Metadata corruption detected at xfs_dinode_verify+0xa3/0x581 [xfs], inode 0x3112d7016 dinode Mar 15 11:34:35 Server kernel: XFS (

I had a sweat ridden hour and a half. Thought I would share my experience and resolution.   I saw that there was an update for 6.9.1. this morning so I thought I would update. My previous experience has always been good so I didn't make a backup before updating.    I pushed the update and rebooted and I lost network connectivity. UGH   What ultimately fixed it was deleting the network.cfg config file and rebooting. Well I didn't actually delete it....I just renamed

Hello,   I would like to make a docker container of mine also available via IPv6 to the outside world. For that I need a my unraid system to have a static IPv6 suffix since my prefix is assigned from my provider. In my router I then need to set the IPv6 suffix for which the ports should be opened. Normally that suffix should be fixed on a server like this but it isn't since everytime I reboot or reconfigure unraids network settings a new IPv6 address is assigned to my un

If you add a VNC password to a VM and edit the VM later, the password gets deleted. In addition, the user is not able to check if already a password exists. I think it should be changed to something similar as follows:

Repro:   - Visit WebInterface   - Create new pool   - Delete that new pool   Expected:   Pool is deleted.   Result:   No error appears, but the pool is still existing. Peeking at the log reveals the following error:   I'm using the trial to determine if this product is suited for my needs - can I delete these pools from the cmdline instead of waiting for a fix?

I run a ZFS Pool mounted to /mnt/gaochan on which I store all VMs and Docker Containers. Post-update, this pool is fully detected and functional, and no errors are being logged in relation to the startup of Docker. Furthermore the docker.img image seems to be correctly detected (= not in red) in the settings. The following is a screenshot of my Docker settings:   I quickly took a look at any mention of docker in the diagnostics but the docker.txt log is blank and there does not s

Before the most recent updates I was able to set my docker container appdata folder to an unassigned and non share drive such as "/mnt/disks/docker storage/appdata" now after updating docker services fails to start with the appdata directory field in red. If i click on the field the drop down no longer lists disks only shares. the docker img. folder still allows to select unassigned disks. i believe this to be a bug. please restore the ability to set docker appdata folder to unassigned/ non shar

I know the Kernel Panics are a different issue. If anyone has the ability to help with that, see this thread below   But after 2 different kernel panics on 6.9.0, the server comes back up and the host access on docker is still marked as enabled but doesn't work until I stop docker, and start it again, and then the communication works again.   Not sure if this was present in 6.8.x as I never had Kernel Panics back then, only getting them now on 6.9.0   Again, if

I updated to 6.9.0, and now when I go to start Docker (having stopped it to install the Nvidia plugin, ala what SpaceInvader told me to do), all that happens is the Docker vDisk Location field goes red, despite the contents ending in .img "/mnt/cache/Docker/docker4.img". I haven't changed any of the settings. Any ideas? I'm hoping this is a stupid typo, but right now it is immensely frustrating.   Edit: to add, I have tried in multiple browsers, same issue. Nothing is logged when I cli

Attempting to start bash shells in specific directories under tmux fails. Upon investigating it seems these lines in /etc/profile have cause all login shells to forcibly open in /root # limetech - modified for unRAID 'no users' environment export HOME=/root cd $HOME   This didn't occur in the last stable version 6.8.3 or earlier.   Workaround is to edit the /etc/profile to remove the offending lines.   I don't understand the rationale behind this.

I have an array of 5 data disks, 1 parity disk, 1 cache and the flash.  I have 1 of the data discs encrypted (2TB disk) in my array and 1  of my shares is set to include only that disk  and doesn't use the cache.  That all works fine and I have all the other shares not using the encrypted disk.   When I look at the shares tab, the share using the encrypted disk reports its free space as just over 5TB. It should only be just under 2TB I would have thought.    All the other sha

Hello,   This is the first time installing UNRAID. I am attempting to get the UEFI mode only to work. The local GUI does not show up it shows a blinking cursor. This is applicable to both 6.9 & 6.9.1, I have tried with both and it does the same. I have tried Safe mode GUI no plugins and still doesn't work. I have not installed any plugins as I just installed it on to a Flash Drive.   My BIOS is Asus version 3405 and American MegaTrends. I only have AMD Graphic

When trying to change an option in Settings/Management Access and then clicking Apply, nothing happens and the option is reset after reloading the page. This error does not occur on other settings pages. I could reproduce the error with 6.9.0 and 6.9.1 in Safari and Chrome.   Edit: Just changed the language to English and now it works. Seems to be a problem with the translation.   Edit2: Have tried it with a few different language packs (Dutch and French) and only the Germa
