I have been having a problem for many weeks now and its taken a very long time to figure out whats going on. I've found that Docker containers that have been assigned to specific VLANS and have static IP addresses assigned to them cause kernel panics. The configuration will work for a few hours but overtime the system becomes unresponsive and eventually the entire server hangs requiring a hard power down.   Currently I have only tried this with Plex and Lets Encrypt after setting up a

Hi I am using two ubuntu VMs on my unraid server. but sometimes one of them happens to be stock. VNC shows a static image, and all communication to the VM stopps (SMB share inside VM, and ping is saying hos is not unreachable). This happens again today, while working on the system. The VM was under heavy load, and the unraid dashboard, shoed that the vm continiued to be under heavy load after the vm seemed to be locked up.   I have had this problem both during

Today I had the 2nd occurrence of wsdd process using 100% CPU (1 core, every time a different one). Last time it happened after 70 days, this time after 12 hours since server restart. There are other reports about it here: I'm not sure if related, but there is a fix for a similar problem here: https://github.com/christgau/wsdd/pull/42 Thanks. tower-diagnostics-20201112-1116.zip

I always found the array health report to be hard to read as all the disks appear on one line. One day I logged in via my webmail only to see it with nice line breaks. It seems that Outlook can not interpret the line breaks present in the disk list (all the rest is fine). Maybe a missing \r?

I am new to Unraid  and still in the trial period.   Problem statement: Attempt to start XFS encrypted Unraid 6.8.3. array after PC restart fails with "Wrong key" message. Target statement: successful data decryption.   My server restarted after unexpected power loss and now I am not able to start the array back using Unraid 6.8.3. I tried suggestions from here before posting: https://forums.unraid.net/bug-reports/stable-releases/wrong-key-error-on-starting-array-after-

This NIC is becoming very popular in current Motherboards and reports are increasing that the stable version of unraid dos not carry the appropriate driver (while 6.9beta has it (newest e1000e as it seems). Myself and others are in the same boat ATM.   Is there a chance to release a backport of the newest driver for unraid 6.8.x, as next stable 6.9.x is not released (yet). This will prevent a lot of potential users from purchasing a license, I would guess.   Many th

Had a random issue- Went to check my dashboard, and nothing was working properly. Tons of errors when trying to look at docker/vms/etc... Under the array, noticed it was rather weird, my ssd had an impossible number of writes.      SSH-d into the host, discovered /boot was not mounted. So- I assumed my brand new flash drive somehow ended up corrupted.... So,  i copied a backup of my flash drive, and got ready to start the process of moving everything over. Aft

Guess I'm coming back to re-report a five year old bug. I have the exact same issue as this   Differences are mostly the version, but if it's important, my dockers are Adguard-Home and Trilium. The network is br0 for Adguard, and a custom one, "Homeproxy" for trilium.   unRAID OS Version:6.8.3   Description:  If you edit a container in advanced view and change the Webui field under Additional Fields, the changes are not reflected in the Webui context menu item you u

Hi I am in the process of moving data off my array onto a couple unassigned disks, so i can reformat my array to xfx encrypted (from regular xfx) When i got up this morning , i saw that the server log is filled with errors like: And much more of stuff like that. atm the logfile is 70% full and is still filling. The data migration is still ongoing in its normal pace, and is expected to finish in less than an hour from the time of writing.   As far as i know ngnix i

I started a new config because one of my disks became a different ID after switching the USB adapter. After that all my SMB Security Settings were resetted. This means all disks were writable even by guests.   Possible Fixes: a) Do not reset the disk share settings b) Make Export "No" and Security "Private" the new default

This bug report is based on the following thread:     While the version of Unraid I am using there is 6.8.0-rc7, I have also tested with 6.7.2 as well as both in safe mode, the results always being the same. My Unraid server appears to have IPv6 internet access despite it being disabled from within the settings.   Summary:   When choosing "IPv4 only" in "Network Settings", IPv6 network addresses are assigned to network interfaces Those network interf

Hello,   I have been dealing with the following issue for quite a long time, since end of 2018 (when I started using unraid) at least. What happens is that on any VM (although more frequently on Windows VMs), when using the web noVNC, at seemingly random, I will not be able to use my mouse any more. The cursor will move over the window, but not 'in' the VM itself. The keyboard will continue to work just fine, no problems whatsoever. The problem itself is not a web browser one, as resta

My syslinux boot has: isolcpus=32-63   Originally I discovered that when I run btrfs scrub (Main -> diskx -> scrub), it doesn't respect the isolcpus i.e. it uses the cores that are supposed to be isolated (see attached screenshot). After a few tries, I also found other activities e.g. copying files between disks (simple cp command on console) also does not respect isolcpus. This looks to be system independent as I can reproduce this even on Unraid as a VM.

I was doing some testing on edge cases for a plugin I maintain. This issue is reproducible simply by trying to create a share on a running system.    I tried to create a share with the following name: Weird? [naming] & stuff / other stuff As expected, Unraid gave me the following error: You cannot use the following within share names : \ / * < > | " I removed the forward slash and tried again with the following new, supposedly compliant share name: Weird? I have problems with my SMB multichannel setup and found out that windows supports the toeplitz hash function that needs a key length of 40 Bytes and some websites claim that XOR is supported as well. So I checked the RSS configuration of my network adapter: ethtool -x eth0 RX flow hash indirection table for eth0 with 4 RX ring(s):     0:      0     1     2     3     0     1     2     3     8:      0     1     2     3     0     1     2     3    16:      0     1     2     3     0     1     2

Hi everyone,   I noticed that some pop-up windows opened from Unraid do not display properly on Safari. You can see in the video, in order to reproduce: - Open the Unraid dashboard - Open a Docker console, a VM VNC session or a VM log - Doesn't load.   Interestingly, the pop-up for Terminal and Docker log are loaded correctly.   Safari is set up: - To allow pop-ups - Not block cross-site tracking - Not block Unraid's cookies -

This is a big issue. The Mac address of the bonded interface is stuck at 88:88:88:88:87:88   Why this is bad. If you have two unraid servers. That you paid 120 license for on each. They create a network storm if they are both on the network. Frankly they would do this if you paid nothing. There is no way to change this... unless you disable bonding... then the mac address for the unraid host is the Actual mac address of the network interface it is bonded to.    I've tested a

Background Info I've been troubleshooting an application running in a docker container. I pulled it out of the docker container and ran on baremetal and am having the same issues. You can see my and others' troubleshooting here: https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/issues/333   We started having issues with UnRaid 6.8.0 and higher. I limited it down to a small `.cpp` files to highlight the issue. Small Files: https://gist.github.com/miketweaver/92c61293f16ef3016f9a574

Hi,   somehow I can't access my SMB shares from a Zidoo Z9S. From a Windows PC they're still working.   I installed a new Unraid server on my Intel NUC and gave it the same IP and share/password etc. Then I could access the share again from the Zidoo.   It was working fine a few days ago and stopped working only for the Zidoo yesterday.   But it's working with the same share/password to a server with the same IP, so I don't think it's the Zidoo,
