I use Dell H200 HBA card (has flashed to LSI 9211-8i IT Mode) .   Recently, I find that when I copy big file (like 4G+) via SMB, about 10 minutes later , it failed to write. I open the control panel and find the error is rising fastly.   I have tried many ways to restore to normal (like spin up/down), but they all failed. And I can't halt or reboot it gracefully! If I reboot the computer violently, it restores to normal. If I try the same thing, I will get the same result.

i not sure if its a bug or just on purpose   i have suggestions on adding option to display how many megs written to the device  not  writes and speed   but the 3 display buttons on the right...   to toggle mb/s vs writes...  shouldnt they be independant  so you click 1  it affects   array  not the flash not the cache....    as then there is no purpose to have 3 buttons for display

Bug: Unraid is doing a full parity sync when asked to do a read-only parity check. Confirmed and reproduced on unraid 6.8.3. Reported here: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/2557-article-why-raid-5-stops-working-in-2009/?do=findComment&comment=883570

This is an issue described here in this topic. I decided to post it under here becase @jonp showed interest in debugging it.      Basically, the reason the VM template hangs at updating is because, the template itself has a wrong path to the vdisk (always uses its VM namesake folder), and no matter how many times you correct it manually, upon next edit it will not remember the correct location.

Recently had a problem where I frequently was unable to browse secure shares on my AD joined Unraid instance - whenever I tried to access a share using my account, I would continually be prompted for a username and password. Using any other AD account worked fine.   Suspect this is due to my trying to create a user in the webUI with the same username - it appears that while the user is not created and passwd/shadow remain clear, the user is still created in the samba user directory (td

I have an old (but still good) drive, that is in excess of 65535 Power on hours. ie. Over 7.5 years!    I just noticed, after doing a SMART Extended offLine self-test, that the unRAID GUI is showing the test as being completed after 8401 "LifeTime(hours)", instead of the expected ~73036 hours.   As per the screenshot attached, you can see the current SMART Attribute RAW VALUE shown in the GUI is now: 73955 (8y, 5m, 6d, 11h).   So, it appears the SMART Attribute RAW

Hi   On 6.8.3 recently the menu options have become unresponsive. When you select stop, pause or restart by right clicking on the docker shortcuts either through dashboard or dicker tabs there is no response. There is still response when selecting edit or logs etc.    Have tried with multiple browsers on multiple devices and tried turning theme engine on/off still no resolution.  Have seen others on the unraid facebook discuss the same issue.   Any help would be gre

Hi,   i founs a bug in Docker, to reproduce it you must have created a virtual network with virsh.   like that :   And you have to create a network in docker.   Like that :   for the moment everything works without problem but if you restart the unraid server or you restart docker   When you want to restart your container it will tell you that the network docker-lab0 with the ip "8c ..." cannot be found even though it does exist and

After creating a user share name "time machine" and selecting Export = "Yes/Time Machine", share is not accessible via Time Machine disk selection. SMB settings in unRaid set to enhanced macOS interoperability. Upon reviewing "time machine.cfg", I noticed that "shareFruit" setting is set to no. When changing "shareFruit" setting to yes, share is accessible through Time Machine.

Hi, I know, not latest release, but it's a very very minor inconvenience (that still can be a hassle if stars align for apocalypse with other events or server load), and since I'm not feeling like updating an otherwise stable (and task running) server, I won't try now on 6.8.3   My parity check is on a monthly schedule, set for last day. So far, never had an issue. BUT, yesterday it did the parity check (even the it's not the last day on the month), and did it again today. I thi

Tools -> System Log always shows the log from boot time, even if the syslogd has been HUP'd and the syslog is split across multiple files (/var/log/syslog, /var/log/syslog.1, /var/log/syslog.2, etc.) but clicking the Download button downloads a .zip file that contains only the syslog file (the syslog.1, syslog.2, etc. files are missing).

The latter installed the duplicate container. Then I wanted to delete it, and there was such a problem. All commands work, except START/STOP/PAUSE.   The last one I installed was the DUPLICATE container, changed the repository to the official duplicate / duplicate. After the web, I did not like it, I returned the LinuxServer repository again. I set it up a bit, and then decided to delete it. And I noticed that the STOP command does not work. Also START AND PAUSE does not work

During the last two weeks or so, my unRAID server has started to shut down all shares due to shfs using too much memory.   Here is a snippet from an earlier log where shfs ended up using so much memory that it was shut down:   My quickest way of reproducing it so far has been to turn on my minio docker container and run backups to it from other machines. That way shfs builds its memory usage with several gigabytes in a matter of minutes. I've uninstalled all plugins bu

A couple of times in the last few months I've been surprised to receive a weekly array health report e-mail telling me I have a drive overheating, when I've not previously received an independent notification for that drive being too hot.   I believe I've tracked this down to an inconsistency in how the two scripts are determining if a drive is too hot.   In /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/scripts/statuscheck, the relevant check is: if ($temp>=$max) { $fail = ' (

After stopping and starting the array, VMs set to autostart are not started, while Docker containers marked as autostart are.   Reproduction steps:   Install two Docker containers: letsencrypt and emby. Set the letsencrypt container to autostart, but leave autostart disabled on the emby container. Start both containers manually if they are not already started. Create two VMs called a and b. Set a to autostart, but leave autostart disabled on b. Start b

Hello everyone, I have one Docker container that behaves weirdly regarding updates. In the Docker tab, when I check for updates, it tells me there are a few containers to update. I click on "update all" and wait for all of the updates to be applied. Once finished (successfully according to the window), I close the window and the page sort of refreshes (with the Unraid logo waving in the middle for a second). All of my Docker containers are updated except for the Home Assistant container whi

I am seeing an issue where the admin interface of Unraid is never timing out.  I usually access it via Safari or Chrome on my iPad and I have noticed if I leave the tab open that when I come back, I can still freely navigate around hours or even days later without being kicked out to re-authenticate.  I would think that's a hole in the security of Unraid no?  The browser should time me out to a login page?  Debating marking this urgent since it could allow unintended admin access.   Al

Visiting the CPU Isolation page triggers the warning at the top "CPU Isolation: A reboot is required to apply changes" even though no changes were made. Literally, just click on the settings triggers this warning and only way to get rid of it is to reset.
