I happened to notice that port 21 was open on my Unraid box even though I have never enabled ftp and it was definitely disabled previously. Now I can go in and disable the FTP server but as soon as I restart the box the ftp server starts again. The only thing I can find in syslog that is ftp related is ool www[15093]: /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/scripts/ftpusers '0' '' which looking at the script suggests that 0 means disable ftp.

I updated from 6.8.3 to 6.9.0, and when I started my array I noticed my docker containers were taking a very long time to start up. Only two had started, so I began to manually start them all. After manually starting them, I noticed the message saying "Please wait... starting up containers" is still at the top. It also frequently has the orange loading animation in the middle preventing me from clicking (it feels like it's trying to start all the started containers?). I would put

This user had the problem that one of his containers (probably) created the path /mnt/cache although he had no cache pool and by that it was not possible to disable the caching: And as default cache setting of the appdata share is "Prefer" all Containers installed their files into this path, which flooded his RAM: root@Tower:~# du -sh /mnt/cache 2.3G /mnt/cache ls -la /mnt/cache/appdata total 0 drwxrwxrwx 8 nobody users 160 Apr 8 20:52 ./ drwxr-xr-x 4 root ro

Hello, I upgraded to 6.9.1 today and Time Machine backups stopped working. SMB dumps core everytime Time Machine backup runs. This share is located on external USB drive mounted with Unassigned Devices plugin. Worked fine for the last several months, and literally stopped working right after this upgrade. Attached is diagnostics file, along with log entrties. Mar 28 13:38:49 Tower smbd[4208]: [2021/03/28 13:38:49.016583, 0] ../../source3/lib/popt_common.c:68(popt

Not the biggest issue but potentially an issue if you aren't paying attention as I almost pressed the reboot button even though the server was in the closing stages of rebuilding the parity disk (14tb drives take far longer to run than 4tb drives). Ideally whatever logic displays the banner should check if a parity operation is in progress and stop it appearing or at least check that no parity operation is in place when if you reboot the server (I don't know if that is already the c

I updated to 6.9.2 yesterday on a workstation in the studio that has a monitor connected to the MB VGA I/O for system monitoring. After the update the VGA GUI option no longer functioned. Although I select that option at boot, the GUI never launches. I have rolled the flash drive back to 6.9.1 and the GUI functionality has been restored but I though this bug was significant enough to warrant reporting. Everything is fine when I upgraded unraid os from 6.8.3 to 6.9.1. But one of my vm(centos 7, 3.10.0-957.27.2.el7.x86_64) isn't working any more. It's bootable, means I can see the kernel core selection splash screen, after that, the cursor stops in a black screen then no more movements. So far, I have to rollback to 6.8.3 so the centos vm is working again.

Refering to his topic: If there is a space in the share name, then the mover will not transfer files from array to cache in the prefer mode. It works the other way, but nothing will go to cache.

If you create diagnostics, when its collecting smart data spins up drives. Due to new fix for 6.9.1 it does not detect drives spinning up and shows as spun down on dash board/main. Also will not spin drives down until spun up by another method that does real IO against the drive and poller will not run for those devices as array thinks already spun down. Would also be nice if there is a way to spin drives from programs/scripts as per the old mdcmd spinup process. Could b

Looks like a parsing error in System Devices > PCI Devices and IOMMU Groups, for what used to be the VFIO-PCI Config plugin. Seems to be cosmetic only.

The expand icon (highlighted below) seem to no longer do anything, the previous functionality was that it would show an expanded list of mappings (where applicable). I haven't used it for a while, so not sure how new this issue is. Applies to both Port Mapping, and Volume Mapping columns, in both advanced and basic views. Haven't tested in safe mode yet, so it's always possible there is a plugin impacting this functionality.

Symptoms: Some of the docker containers just stop, others don't work, on the VM tab there are no VMs defined. This has happened twice in a month, I'm not sure what triggers it. Fix common problems says that it can't write to the docker file, and my VM/docker pool is full or is mounted as read only. After restart all goes back to normal. I've checked, there is 40% free space on the pool, and docker has 13GB left. Sidenote: updated yesterday to 6.9.2, but I g

Not sure if this sghould go under this subforum. If not, sorry, please move it. Yesterday I installed the unraid.net plugin from Lime. Eversince on one of my servers I get a double banner (see attached screenshot), on ~50% of the times when I click one of the items in the top menu. Sometimes the banner shows up once, sometimes twice. When it shows twice, it blocks the top part of the section below (ie in this screenshot I do not see parity drive 1 anymore and only half of #2).

If an extended SMART self-test takes longer than the configured spin-down delay for the array disk, then the disk spins down and the self test is aborted. This behaviour is different from Unraid 6.8, where spin-down was temporarily suspended until after the self-test had completed. The message "SMART self test in progress" appears but the spin-down prevention doesn't operate. Previously noticed affecting 6.9.0-rc2 and reported here:

After upgrading to 6.9.0, and remaining with 6.9.1, I noticed that unRAID is trying to spin it down every hour. unassigned devices don't seem to have the option to over-ride the global spin-down delay. Just an annoyance given the hourly entry in the syslog. ar 15 13:33:51 ED800 kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] 125313283 512-byte logical blocks: (64.2 GB/59.8 GiB) Mar 15 13:33:51 ED800 kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] Write Protect is off Mar 15 13:33:51 ED800 kernel: sd 1:0:0:0: [sdb] Mo

Rebooting even from safe mode will consistently cause a kernel panic. This doesn't seem to show in the syslog. Having plugins (apparently any) also causes the panic. Moving all .plg files to a different directory allows the system to start normally and then all can be added back without issue. Problem is reproduceable every time. Attached is an image of the crash and attached diagnostics. 6.9.0-RC1 did not have this issue for me but RC2 and 6.9.1 do. I am at a loss with how to resolve so if anyo

Upgraded to 6.9.0 and then to 6.9.1. The issues I have were present from 6.9.0 and I thought would be resolved with the 6.9.1 fix. Accessing Plugins or Apps tab takes at best 30 seconds and at worst several minutes. I used to be able to click through tabs instantaneously. Update: Accessing Plugins takes considerably longer than previously stated. It is now a few minutes to not loading at all sometimes. Updating Docker Applications is met with a command f
