  1. We have had nothing but problems with ADATA branded drives. It is definitely not anything Unraid is doing. They are just a cheap brand with very poor reliability. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

  3. Can we please have the clock settings in the UI? e.g. <clock offset='localtime'> <timer name='rtc' tickpolicy='catchup'/> <timer name='pit' tickpolicy='delay'/> <timer name='hpet' present='yes'/> # yes reduces idle cpu resources a lot on windows vm's, current default is no. </clock> or the functionality to keep the changes made to the XML not being lost if using the UI again?

  4. Hi. I'm new to this forum and new to unRaid. In my late 50`s, not tech skilled. Been in the computer business since mid 80`s, actually launched Amiga 500 for Commodore back in ´87 I think it was. I am planning setting up UnRaid on a Supermicro Workstation (pressed purchase button today). Plex (4K transcoding) on Unbuntu with GPU passthru, a Mac vm, a Win vm, Roon Server, backup for friends and family, etc. So I will most likely ask for help from time to time. Looking forward to talk to you. Cheers, Frode

  5. Got my Dell R710 up and running with sata drives and this appeared is this correctable: Your CPU is running constantly at 100% and will not throttle down when it's idle (to save heat / power). This is because there is currently no CPU Scaling Driver Installed. Seek assistance on the unRaid forums with this issue testserver-diagnostics-20190414-1326.zip

  6. Currently, no. Move, right now, is: copy, check the folder actually exists on the target, delete the source. Verify is a VERY expensive operation, since it compares checksums of each file on the source and the target. You can do it with unbalance, by doing a COPY, then going to the History screen and clicking on the Validate button.

  8. Yeah, mine is in a small office, and it makes working in the office very uncomfortable in the summer, so I'm intrgued by the prospect and have given it a lot of thought, got enough shelving in the garage to make it a realistic proposition as keeping it off the floor and dry wouldn't be an issue, just concerned about humidity really.

  11. Nope. I have 2 ssds as cache, with VM and many plugins, dockers, all downloads go to ssd first... Both have around that 150TB, which (what smart reports) is only around 60-70% of their lifetime. But i might read somewhere that nvme (or m2) not very good for cache. I can recommend 850 evo, for my part.

  12. If you install NetData from the Apps Tab, you'll be able to see the frequency all the cores are running at from moment to moment. If it cycles down, then FCP is giving you a false positive

  14. Let's see, because it seems you are not fully understanding the networking details. This is my test server It has a bonded interface with 4 members (eth0/1/2/3). It has two currently unused gigabit interfaces (eth4/5) and a direct 10G interface (eth6) for server to server backups. Already possible. Already present Already present Changes are made for each interface separately and won't lock you out unless you are changing the management interface (eth0/br0) and made a mistake Eth0 is the default management port. Any other interface can be freely used The default network for a docker container is determined by the container author (set in the XML file). This is either bridge or host, because only these two type of networks exist on every system (come with Docker) Bridging (and bonding) make use of a parent interface and optional members. When enabling bridging for eth0, it becomes the parent and other members such as eth1 can be added or removed. When you change network interfaces, it does require a manual update of the docker containers. Docker containers can not magically change their network assignments. In fact you need to create a new image/container with the appropriate settings to make it work. The host network of Docker is associated with the management interface of the system, which is eth0 as explained before. If you want to use a different interface for a container, it is done using custom networks. Why is this needed? Resetting to defaults can immediately break the GUI connection. Very inconvenient. Again, eth0 is the management interface. This interface requires a default route otherwise the system is unable to communicate with the outside world and things like system upgrades and plugin/docker installations aren't possible. You can use "Network Rules" to change the interface assigned to eth0 (or any other interface for that matter). I recommend you create a topic under the general help and explain what you try to achieve with your set up. People can give help and recommendations what to do.

  15. I've been comparing the files between versions and I just lack the skills to know what I'm fully doing. I think nginx is the same version or at the very least very similar. (on the rutorrent container). If I disable the proxying through cloudflare it works..... If I role back to 1.1.r38.gd52abd2-1-05 it works with the proxying turned back on (after the DNS has had time to refresh) For now since I don't see any functionality differences I'll just role back.............

  16. Stop the array. Click on each disk in turn. Change their filesystem to something different. Starting the array will then let you format them. If you want you can then repeat the procedure to get them back to the filesystem you want.
