  1. The only reason I wanted to use Krusader, it was recommended to use Krusader if you did not want to use a text editor like nano or vi as the config file I was editing have over 200 lines in it. I I've used nano and vi in past for small config files fstab or samb but not for a config file with over 200 lines. I was told Krusader has a built in gui text editor.
  2. When I recently upgraded to 6.11.5 I started to get a few random freezes as I did earlier in this thread. I checked and Samba WSD was now enabled, perhaps due to the upgrade to 6.11.5. So I disabled WSD and has not frozen yet.
  3. Still not working. I can now see the host folders and files, except for the Root folder.
  4. Try to resolve this issue here which suggested editing "DockerClient.php"
  5. I was using the non binhex-krussader, so I removed and installed the binhex version. i did find the settings for PUID and PGID and changed to 0. But it still seems like it will not go into root mode. I am trying to edit file DockerClient.php in "/usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/" I can go to the folder using terminal. However using Krusdar or Binhex Krusader, I can not past /usr/local as emhttp is not display and I do have hidden folders turned on in binhex/Krusader. So I am assuming I am not running in root mode. I also tried under Tooks-->Start Root Mode Krusader and it still does not display the emhttp folder. I also tried entering the path in binHex/Krusader "/usr/local/emhttp" and I am told emhttp does not exist. PS: I was able to edit "DockerClient.php" via terminal but I was told using Krusader would be easier.
  6. Thanks for the link but I could not find anything there that seemed to address my problem as thread goes off into so many directions. And I have no option for user, nor is there one defined as nobody or root. There is an option to run as root, and it is set to True.
  7. I am not patching manually. I always use Unraid app to notify me of updates and install them. I switched from Basic View in Apps to Advanced View as suggested in another thread, and the updates for Virt-manager appeared. Sorry for getting upset, but today it was a bit stressful.
  8. When I clicked on Advanced view (I was in basic view) the update became available. thanks kindly...
  9. How do you run Krusader in root mode? I tried the option below and entered in my root password, but I was informed it was the wrong password. Thinking it was a typo, I tried again but enabled the option to display the password. I confirmed my password was correct, yet once again I was told my password was wrong. It said something about a WHEEL group was well.
  10. Applied the recommend change to the DockerClient.php file and it did not resolve the issue. The only app I am having this issue with is Virt-manager. All others update fine and I've applied the updates to them.
  11. On On my server it was line 448 Made the changes as suggested. I still get the error that the update for Virt-manager is unavailable. So what now? Or better yet, since your update broke it, You fix it. it seems every update I've installed for Unraid breaks something. Where is your quality control?
  12. A few days ago I started getting the following message that updates for Virt-Manager were unavailable. Prior to that I was getting an update just about every second day for Virt-Manager. When I check App Store, it shows Virt-Manager was last updated on Jan 27, 2023.
  13. I think presently there are only server boards from Supermicro and Asus with the W680 chipset.
  14. I believe 5600X supports PCIE ver 4, the 5600G supports PCIE ver 3. It is also my understanding both support ECC memory.
  15. I am wondering the same thing. I wonder if anyone member has sourced a motherboard that supports this apu and ECC DDR4 memory. Are there any issues with this AMD apu and Unraid. I know all about the pc part picker website, but I am asking from an Unraid perspective. Cheers & many thanks...
  16. Do either of these CPUs support ECC memory? Or is it only the 13 gen consumer CPUs and Xeons that support ECC?
  17. Wanting to wish LimeTech and the Unraid community all the very best in 2023. And many thanks to LimeTech for developing a fantastic application like Unraid. I find Unraid to be a very stable and trouble free operating system to support. Ironically the only two times I had issues which perplexed me, where after upgrades to the OS. Love Unraid and I simply can not see my operating environment without. A few illustrations I did recently and in the past for New Years...
  18. I too am curious if SnapeRid can be used on Unraid. I am an avid photographer as well as a 2d and 3D digital artist. I have many photo files both in the RAW format and edited PSDs and JPGs. Along with 3D models I've created or bought and rendered illustrations. Lightroom informs me I have just over 171,000 photos and illustrations on my Windows 10 hard drive. Which are backed up to Unraid and a second backup up to external USB drives. I had file on my hard drive corrupted due to bit-rot. I went to my backups (Unraid and USB drives) only to find out that they were overwritten with the corrupt file. So I am interested in Snap Raid or QPAR/Multipar as a possible solution.
  19. Multipar can read / open svf amd md5 files. Anyone know if there is a docker version of QPAR or Multipar? I checked the app store and couldn't find anything.
  20. Do these utilities work in the same way as QuickPar or MultiiPar and allow you to recreate a corrupted file due to bitrot or malware?
  21. Re-installed Virt-Manager and all seems to be fine now.
