  2. And this USB-Stick has a (unique) GUID? If not, you cant install unraid on it... A recommened stick is the Kingston DTSE9H (16GB)
  3. 50MB/sec is a little bit low, but it depends what the server is doing in the background during the parity check. My Sys reaches normaly ~170MB/s but if someone is using Plex, the rate drops to ~145MB/s. Maybe a bottleneck on the controller(s)? There is a Docker application called "DiskSpeed" - install it and test your throughput of HDDs and Controllers 👍
  4. For what is this mainboard? And the price... what the hell... € 564.- 🤪 And there is no 10GB-Lan on it... well... Way too expensive in my opinion but ok...
  5. I use ASRock boards since 2010 for all my PCs and other creations. My unraid bord (B365M) is running since 14.12.2020 every day ~16 hours without any problems. My oldest (still working) ASRock board is a B75 Pro3-M from Nov. 2013 with an i7-3770. This machine runs every day for 8-9 hours without any problems too. So i think, they are reliable 🤣 I also use MSI boards but not that long... so i cant say how good they are...
  6. You can use a modern i3/i5/i7 (12th, 13th Gen) and use HW-transcoding from Plex (Plex Pass required). There is no need for an extra Graphic - the iGPU can handle that. My old i7-iGPU can transcode ~8 4K-to-1080p streams without problems (transcode to RAM)... Delivering 4K-streams without transcoding needs no CPU-Power at all. And yes, ECC RAM is not necessary
  7. No WD-Purple and Purple PRO are also CMR
  8. Well... most boards have 6 SATA's Then use a HBA and you get 8 SATA's more - total of 14 SATA's (see my signature) 👍
  9. Update went smooth and without problems - thanks a lot 👍
  10. I am using an i7-9700 and the HW-transcoding performance (iGPU) under Plex is excellent - also for 4K 👍 Power consumption is not high (45W-70W) See my signature for the whole setup
  11. Maybe a hardware-problem? Cache-SSD? New? Old? Some more infos...
  12. Thats an AMD-Board... and expensive too... Is there a "special reason" to not use an Intel-Sys? My "old" Sys is running since 2020 - without "any" problem 👍 The MB was cheap - only € 77.- 🤣
  13. Updated without problems - thanks a lot 👍
  14. For h265, you need (at least) a GT1030 - recommended is a 1050Ti or newer👍 Intel iGPUs can also handle h265
  15. Not better, more like "different"... A server must run 24/7, so the boards have a different desing/construction. But you can also buy "military grade" Mainboards for "normal" computers... if you willing to pay 5x the price 🤣👍
  17. Die Sache ist eher: Finde ein Netzteil mit 12-20 SATA-Stromsteckern 😉👍
  18. I am using the plex docker from linuxserver.to - the official plex docker was not working for me...
  19. Maybe a ZFS-problem... my cache is running on xfs and all is fine with Plex and 6.12.3
  20. FYI: Chrome is doing the same... If the Dashboard is open and a user is opening a new plex-stream - the old stream remains and a new one aproches. But maybe also a cache issue...
  21. My old SYS is running well after the upgrade - thanks a lot👍
  22. Yep i did this already and now its working again. Regarding the old streams, it seems, its a Cache issue of FireFox. When i do a reload of the page, the old streams are gone 👍
