Hi All, I restarted my Plex Server this morning as I could not tune any channel with TVHeadend (IPTV working fine with xteve) but I cannot access my Plex Server any more? I have tried restarting a few times and even rebooted the entire unRAID server. The docker shows as running but I cannot connect to Plex at all locally or remotely. I have uninstalled and re-installed the docker and here is the log which does not tell me alot! ah thanks for the pointer binhex, I see that I have to create a ramdrive? (Transcode to RAM - create a new volume mapping, host path /tmp container path /transcode then define TRANS_DIR so that it points at ram drive e.g.:-) is this the best solution to creating a ram drive? http://docs.observium.org/persistent_ramdisk/ Thanks for your help!

All I can say is it is a good solution as it works really well but it really depends on how much data you have to back up as to whether or not it is best for you.

Hi, Just to update and prove that I was not going mad! the problem was due to the linuxserver Plex docker! I installed a 10gbE network and found that the network could not co-exist with the linuxserver Plex Docker so changed to binhex and just thought I would try tvhproxy again and it worked straight away! hope this helps others as I have seen many people with similar issues. Thanks so much for all your help nuhll ?

I read that doing that had huge privacy issues..?

Just a quick questions as I see there is an option to select the transcode directory on this docker so I would prefer RAM to my SSD so I typed /config/tmp in the location is this all I have to do? also I read somewhere there were issues using RAM to transcode especially with Live TV is that still the case as I prefer a rock solid Plex to one that may crash if to many transcodes ? Many Thanks

[Plugin] CA Appdata Backup / Restore v2
Hi, I just have a couple of questions regarding using this app to backup my Plex folder. 1, There is an insane amount of data in the Plex appdata folder (thumbnails, posters etc) do people use compression and verify due to this? 2, I would like to backup every 2 days due to watched status, every day is probably too much due to question 1 but when I select custom range all the pull down selectors dont work? (Day time etc) Many Thanks in Advance!

Hi Squid, Thanks so much for all your help, to update you and help others I changed my Plex Docker to Binhex and now I have Plex AND my 10gbE card working without errors (all watched status libraries, users intact!). I am sure that this Pllex docker would be fine if on a fresh install with the 10gbE card but could not find a way to make it work on an existing installation Thanks Again

Thinking about it, it wouldn't make any difference as Plex does not store any information anywhere other than the appdata folder so it would make no difference.. there must be something somewhere though! very frustrating as I can get my 10gbE network running perfectly but all dockers except this plex won't work with the 10gbE card!

I am terrified of losing my libaries watched status etc but do you think if I renamed the mnt/cache/appdata/plex folder to mnt/cache/appdata/plexold and then deleted the docker, reinstalled fresh with the mnt/cache/appdata/plex setting plex should work? then I could stop the docker and move my plexold appdata into the newley created folders it could work?

Hi, there is no problem with plex if I run the docker with the appdata folder in /mnt/user/appdata/ there are no errors at all. As I have installed a 10gbE card I need to change the appdata folder to /mnt/cache/appdata and if I do that then plex won't start (as my previoud post I just see continuous messages saying Starting Plex Media Server in the log. if I change back to /mnt/user/appdata and restart the docker everything is fine so there is no corruption.

I just backed up my mnt/user/appdata/plex folder deleted it and created it on mnt/cache/appdata/plex then changed the appdata location in the Plex docker to match but plex will not start (log below) I left the folder structure alone and changed the Plex docker appdata location back to mnt/user/appdata/plex and plex starts up straight away! I have changed all my other dockers (radarr sonarr deluge etc to mnt/cache/appdata and they all work fine! am I missing something on the Plex docker? Hi, I tried changing from /mnt/user/appdata/plex/ to /mnt/cache/appdata/plex/ but plex would not start so I changed it back to /mnt/user/appdata/plex/ and then Plex started (as long as Tunable (Enable Direct IO) is set to auto I did check and can confirm that I can access Plex appdata at /mnt/cache/appdata/plex/ so I am not sure why it didn't work as it is the same location, does it work instantly when you change it? perhaps I was too impatient?

Hi mate, Since installing the 10gbE card br0 is no longer available as an option for the dockers? all the 10fbE is for is to transfer media between my main rig and my unRAID server, it has no access to the outstide world, please see screenshots below Thanks for your help, I would love to get this working!
