exoexo
Hi - checking my logs for the first time in a long time and I see the below repeating failure many times a second (17) while the client is streaming (locally). The weird thing is I have absolutely no problem streaming from this client and plex behaves normally from it. Is this normal behavior? Thanks Using the plexpass docker. exoexo
Thanks for the response. It appears just to be with that one file, or a couple of similar files, and not widespread. I won't worry about it for now and will go back to trying to fix my original problem (Plex Music not finding files...). Thanks again. Quote Link to comment

chishola1
I am still having issues running PLEX on my server. When I run PLEX the server goes unresponsive after about an hour. The only way to recover is to do a hard reboot. There is nothing shown in the unraid error log and BIOS is current. I have ran memtest with no errors and the intel diagnostic utility with no errors. I am out of ideas. Quote Link to comment
dopeytree
Heya, I'm getting some weird slow reads on single disks. Not sure exactly what the cause is. Open files shows some kind of slow scan happing (5.5MB/s) on open recent-ish tv shows. It's not plex doing content creation like thumbnails as that hammers the cpu. It's not someone watching the shows as I mostly watch new stuff which is on the SSD. Plus I can see what everyone is watching. I think its related to binhex-plex or bind-sonarr Is anyone else getting this? moulin-rouge-diagnostics-20231021-2043.zip Edited October 21, 2023 by dopeytree Quote Link to comment
rhinoman
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I've used this container on my Unraid for many years with very few issues. My server is based on a Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1275 v3 @ 3.50GHz with 32Gb ECC ram. Yesterday when streaming a movie to a Firestick the server started warning beeps because it was thrashing all the cores of the CPU, film was a large 4K and HD audio being decoded to a TV at 1080p so I'm sure it was working fairly hard. Is there any settings I can check or change? Is there a simple hardware upgrade that may help, maybe a graphics card? Apologies for my ignorance but its just worked so haven't felt the need to keep up with advancements. Quote Link to comment

z0ki
How do I go about doing a full clean install of plexpass? Making sure there is no settings or remnants remaining after deleting the docker container. Binhex-plexpass folders have been deleted from the machine (well appear to be) but when i re-download the container, and enter my config and then enter the plex webUI it's still showing my old libraries and settings, albeit in a non-usable state. SicSemper23
Over the last week or so, Plex stopped updating my library. New stuff I've downloaded is processing properly, but Plex isn't adding it. Files I've deleted aren't clearing out from the Plex library. Some recently added TV episodes were showing up, but I'm unable to play them. I can't load any collections. Any of them I click on I get the message "There was an unexpected error loading this item." I can't tag anything. But movies/shows that had been downloaded prior to this will play just fine. Other containers in Docker run without issue. Server itself is healthy from everything I've checked. Probably related, but I can't seem to find an answer: I'm having an issues with permissions where I suddenly can't move or otherwise manipulate files on my server from my PC, but when I try to open up the permissions through the terminal, I still can't do anything from the PC. Anyone ever encountered anything like this before? z0ki
My docker is filling up with what I have a feeling is with plex transcoding. This normally sits at around 8GB. How do I have transcodes go elsewhere and where is the best place to put them? I am using a nvidia 3060 Ti for transcoding. Here are my map configurations. Am i mapping straight back to the docker container? Can someone please tell me what I should map to? Quote Link to comment

I've been searching for months trying to get my DB fixed. I get the random alert my DB was corrupt but everything has been working with a noticeable lag until playing content. Tried SpaceInvador's youtube tutorial and others suggestions I found on redit - nothing worked. Then, I discovered your note last night. Ran the script, it found multiple issues and was able to fix them. Now Plex popps like it used to and no mor corruption in my db. Thanks - you rock! 1 Quote Link to comment
Recoil
Hi, I am stumped with “Error code: s1001 (Network)” Everything seems to come up as intended but when I try to click on a live channel I get “Error code: s1001 (Network)”. Streaming stock Plex channels works correctly without error, is just with live TV that the error arises. I have tried just about anything I found in the internet but still I am stuck with the same error, I went as far as installing Jellyfin in case it was something in Unraid itself but I follow the same configuration as in Plex and everything worked with in Jellyfin on the first try. I am unsure where the break is or where should I be looking, I see 4 different logs … Plex Tuner Service.log Plex Transcoder Statistics.log Plex Media Server.log Plex Media Scanner.log I look at all of them, I am guessing if I was to find an error I would see it in “Plex Media Server.log” but I look through it the only things I see out of the ordinary is a couple of warnings … -WARN - [CERT] TLS connection -DEBUG - CERT: incomplete TLS handshake Then again I am at a lost, I am unsure what should I be looking for. Anyhow I hope you can advise, thank you! Quote Link to comment

Anyhow I hope you can advise, thank you! I found the solution, for anyone having this issue ... Plex does not play the stream. Plex DVR is not compatible with all streaming formats, most problems are incompatible audio codecs. In this case it helps to use FFmpeg as a buffer and changed FFmpeg parameters. xTeVe Settings -> Stream Buffer = FFmpeg FFmpeg Options: -hide_banner -loglevel error -i -c:a libmp3lame -vcodec copy -f mpegts pipe:1 Quote Link to comment
stry8993
Hey folks, I may not be the only person suffering this issue, but, I haven't been able to find anyone having it the way that I am. Someone is trying to playback Barbie, on both their Xbox One, and their Macbook connected to their TV. Dolby Atmos / TrueHD 7.1 won't transcode, it just causes the video to stop and constantly buffer. Switching to the EAC 5.1 is fine though, it'll transcode that. I keep getting these errors in the attached screenshot of the log. I was also having problems with the Windows Player when I tried to install it last month where this specific thing 'EasyAudioEncoder' got called out by Windows Defender (its fixed now, but figured it was a strange coincidence worth mentioning) Addendum: Looks like it might be a permissions thing? I effed this ALL up... trying to remove some drives I had added... was following a tutorial, and it looks like I didn't run the docker safe permissions tool.... the one I was supposed to run... wow. I'm pretty sure ALL of my Docker containers are effed. And I really do not know enough about how to un-eff them... like plex isn't allowing me to select my GPU, either, in the transcoding section. It just shows auto, whereas it was there before.... this is brutal.... I'm in quite the pickle... I don't even know where I could go to ask for some help, or even what to search to find out how to un-eff this. Any guidance would be GREATLY appreciated!!!! Love your work, really grateful for it, thank you, and appreciate your response!!! I did make a help request post, and... basically redid the container after deleting the folder, and letting the docker redo the permissions. It wasn't TOO much trouble. I do have another question though... if you don't mind, in the logs, it was saying that the TRANS_DIR wasn't configured, so it was defaulting to something else (I don't have it running right now so can't check) but, if I set the /transcode to dev/shm in the docker configuration, and then set /transcode inside plex's settings, that should still use the RAM (like up to half your RAM type of deal)? Also, totally found out the hardway that the audio is transcoded by the CPU. My poor Synology DS218+ was not a fan. So much so I built an Unraid box for it with a Xeon CPU E5-2699 v3, and its generally been okay. The videos on TrueHD 7.1 just wouldn't even load, or infinitely buffer. But English AC-3 5.1 was no problem at all. *SOLVED* So yep, deleting the folder, and rebuilding it using the docker container worked! 7.1 is doing its thing, even in transcoding. AND the /transcode + /dev/shm does indeed use the RAM just fine :D. Its all back to normal! Whewf! Edited December 3, 2023 by stry8993 Quote Link to comment
