This is a follow up of the following thread. In the meantime I tried to work around this situation without success. This worked 100% in 6.11.5. With 6.12.4 it crashes all the time: This is bare bone Unraid server with two DAS (direct attached storage) boxes (look at my avatar). Each DAS has it's own license stick in the bare bone. Just upgraded from 6.11.5 to 6.12.3 and am experiencing near daily crashes. The machine does not respond to web ui or even pings after this crash occurs. I run about 12 dockers and a VM running hasos/homeassistant. Log from a remote syslog is attached. unraid.crash.log

I recently upgraded from 6.9.2 (I know. I should be more on the ball) My windows 10 VM which was working perfectly with two monitors in 6.9.2, will now only use a single monitor. OpenSuse Tumbleweed is not affected - it uses 2 monitors with no issue. I have ensured the Nvidia sound device is passed through on the same bus with multifunction='on'. If I install the latest Nvidia drivers when in Windows, I can then use both monitors until I reboot the VM. Then th

Hi, I’m very new to Unraid, and this is my first post. I’ve been using the trial but I’ve not been able to get Time Machine to work. From the Googling and reading the forums, this last appears to have worked around version 6.9.x. Hello all, yes, I'm pretty new to UnRAID but I might have discovered a bug, which bothers me. I was doing my first step in datamigration and migrated 1:1 copies of a laptop-backup folder. Not sure if this by design or a bug.. Am moving some shares over to my ZFS pool using midnight commander. After copying I went to shares tab to change the shares behaviour and noticed... I can do ZFS pool to array but not array (or cache) to zfs pool. I experienced this problem today when i wanted to start to move Files off of my cache to the Array to convert my cache to ZFS. All shares which were configured to either Cache only or to Move Data Array -> Cache did not update the Free Disk size. They only showed the Free space on the Cache. Hello I removed my encrypted drive after it started giving me some SMART errors (this was my only encrypted drive). But the password field was missing when I tried to rebuild the array. So when I try to start the array I just get a "Missing encryption key". I tried to create the /root/keyfile with my passphrase but It just gives me "Wrong encryption key". I've tried rebooting both with safe mode on and off. Is there a way to generate the keyfile manually. Or manually create

I use br0(macvlan) as aria2 and qbittorrent's primary nic and they both fail to start after reboot. Error msg says network not found. Im assuming unriad create a new docker network with the same name 'br0'? These never happen on 6.12.0-6.12.3. Is there any way to fix it or I'll have to wait for future OS releasae(hope it will be fixed...)?

6.12.4 Bug: Something causes kworker cpu to get stuck at 100% while not really doing anything which in turn causes unnecessary boosting and power usage. Hello, since upgrading to 6.12.4, I randomly lose connection to the web interface. The server always responds to the ping, and the containers that are launched always work. From what I've seen on rutorrent, the CPU is at 100%. I've downgraded to 6.12.3, but that doesn't change anything. It's totally random, it can happen in 1 hour or every 2 days. Edit: Egg, meet face. This was entirely my fauilt. Shortly after upgrading, I also changed "Global share settings" to exclude disk2. I thought this would exclude it from shares by default, saving me a couple of clicks. I didn't realize it would remove it entirely from selection. I tried searching around but couldn't find much on this. As long as I don't reboot Unraid, it won't have parity errors. Most recently, I ran the parity three times in a row without rebooting, and it reported 0 sync errors each time. I then rebooted (safely, stopping the array and then rebooting) and started another parity check, and now there are errors. I see a consistent 1025 errors on this particular Unraid box when errors do pop up, which is suspicious. Looking at the parity check history, t

Hello Forum, I am running into an issue with my Windows VM. I don’t remember this happening before but now my Windows 11 VM keeps getting multiple IP addresses from my UniFi router and I see multiple MAC addresses. I have a nic with two Ethernet port and on the VM page I assigned one of the NIC. I am not using IOMMU groups. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I just want the VM to get the same physical MAC address and only report once in the UniFi console.

I noticed recently that SMB read speeds with 6.7.x from the shares went way down from approx 100mb/s to 20-30mb/s. After investigation it turned out that when transfering from the disk shares directly intead of going through through the normal shares (spanning several disks) restored the normal speed. Before i realized this i tried a lot of options without any luck (network offloading, flow control, buffer sizes, maxprotocol, tunables, etc). But then i tried to turn direct i/o OFF. A

Earlier today I started migrating from a BTRFS-based docker.img to an XFS-based docker.img. When I finished setting up the XFS based image, I went to delete the BTRFS image via unRAID's WebGUI in `Settings -> Docker` I attached a video where I reproduced the wrong image being removed. Ive discovered that the wireguard Implementation of Unraid wont connect as a client to any server that doesnt repond with icmp. Every other device ive tested, also software, just works. Android Phones with the wireguard app, various vpn docker container, wireguard software on windows. Just Unraid strictly refuses to connect to servers that do not repond. I'm seeing a issue that looks like a bug. After I rsync data from my old nas or use Dynamix File Manager the sub folders are not accessible from the share via other computers (windows/ios/mac) all return a error when trying to access ONLY the sub folders. Top level folders/files seem to be fine. Uraid can access the sub folders via file manger (everything looks normal), but containers can't. My old Nas is mounted as SMB via Unassigned Devices. I upgraded to 6.12.4 earlier this week, after upgrading, I went from a perfectly stable, and reliable system, to one that now... just breaks randomly. The symptoms I notice, include maxed out CPU. I am unable to ssh, or even use the root console while this is occuring. Disabled a few things, doubled the allocated resources. No VMs, only docker, storage, nfs, and smb. Updated to 6.12.4 last week and now FCP is sending me warnings of macvlan call traces found. The server has been rebooted twice. Once for the 6.12.4 update and then again to apply the network changes when I re-added my multiple network ports so I don’t believe these are remnants of prior logs.
