hm... i dont know why, but i can't get the unmount work inside a backup script. I try using mgutt backup scrpt: i added /usr/local/sbin/rc.unassigned mount /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD20EFRX-blabla sleep 30s on the top and sleep 60s /usr/local/sbin/rc.unassigned umount /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD20EFRX-blabla at the end of the script. But i only got: May 9 08:42:38 Unraid-1 unassigned.devices: Successfully mounted '/dev/sdg1' on '/mnt/disks/WDC_WD20EFRX-blabla'. May 9 08:44:27 Unraid-1 unassigned.devices: Unmounting disk 'WDC_WD20EFRX-blabla'... May 9 08:44:27 Unraid-1 unassigned.devices: Unmounting '/dev/sdg1'. May 9 08:44:27 Unraid-1 unassigned.devices: Unmount cmd: /sbin/umount '/dev/sdg1' 2>&1 May 9 08:44:27 Unraid-1 unassigned.devices: Unmount of '/dev/sdg1' failed: 'umount: /mnt/disks/WDC_WD20EFRX-blabla: target is busy. ' May 9 08:44:27 Unraid-1 unassigned.devices: Disk 'WDC_WD20EFRX-blabla' cannot be unmounted. If i am using a single script only for umount, the unmount works fine. I tried this as an User Script and as an UD Script.

hm.. is there a workaround for that? maybe i can use UUID, or will the UUID also change each reboot? Looks like i can do it with this command: /usr/local/sbin/rc.unassigned umount /dev/disk/by-id/ata-WDC_WD20EFRX-blablabla with ls /dev/disk/by-id/ i found out, that i have to use "ata-" infront of the device name

Moin, bevor ich nen neue Threat erstelle, greife ich das ganze hier lieber noch einmal auf. -Konntet ihr das umount am ende des Skripts zum laufen bekommen? -Wie sieht es mit einem automatischen mount des Laufwerks aus? Ich würde das Laufwerk gerne an nem Hot-Plug Sata angeschlossen lassen, jedoch nur fürs Backup gemounted haben wollen. Die Idee wäre es dann das Laufwerk per User Script zu mounten und wenn der mount erfolgreich war das Backup Script per UD ausführen zu lassen. Am Ende vom Backup-Script dann der umount. Das Backup per Script soll dafür auch nur einmal im Monat laufen. So ich wie das verstanden habe, bietet sich da dann immer der 1. eines Monats an. Nur dann blieben mir "monatliche Inkrementelle" Backups? Leider fehlt mir hier wieder das Know-How wie ich per Script/Terminal ein Laufwerk mounte. Vielleicht kann mir hier jemand nen Denkanstoß geben. Danke.

Disk2 and Parity are the same WD Red 10TB (WDC_WD100EFAX) and the Errors only appears on Disk2. I also got some "199UDMA CRC error count" on Disk1 (WDC_WD40EFRX) over the last week i was using the JMB585. I am too afraid losing data from my disk, so i don't did more tests with the JMB controller. So i'm sorry

So, today ich switched back to my old M1015 HBA. After rebuild my 10TB WD Red the Array works fine since 8 hours. I deleted some files and does some writings on the array to Disk1 and Disk2 and i got no Errors again. Looks like the m.2 Sata Controller won't work with my System.

Till now i just tried the two m.2 data controller. When the current rebuild is finish tomorrow I will try some writing on the 4TB WD Red. If this also failed. Then I think the m.2 controller ish the source of the problem. If there are no errors, I will try the M1015 HBA.

After every change (m.2 slots, m.2 controller, cables) i did a rebuild. i am afraid to lose data so this is my 6th rebuild in the last six days. some other advice from the diagnostics?

Hey, does someone tested KALEA-INFORMATIQUE - M.2 (PCIe 3.0 M oder B+M Key) mit 5 Port SATA III 6G Controller Karte. 5X SATA 6G. CHIPSATZ JMB585 with Unraid? I installed two of this on weekend and ended up getting Errors on one drive. Parity Re-build runs fine, but if i delete or write files on my 10TB WD Red, unraid detects Errors and disable the drive. After the first Errors, i saw, that the second m.2 SATA controller wasn't good connected to the m.2 Port, so i fixed this. On the first m.2 SATA controller are two cache SSD connected. No problem. On the second are the following drives conntected: Parity 10TB WD RED Drive1 4TB WD RED Drive2 10TB WD RED I switched the m.2 SATA controller, i switched the m.2 slots, i changed ALL SATA Cabels. Now i am unsure if Drive2 or the m.2 SATA controller is bad. @mgutt danke für deine hilfe, habe es hinbekommen @jj1987 ich habe tatsächlich Pi-Hole laufen, in Kombination mit Unbound. Unbound hat auch nen DNS Rebindschutz, hier musste ich erst "unraid.net" als "private-domain" einpflegen, danach ging es.

Domain xyz.unraid.net wird weder lokal von meinem PC, noch aus dem Internet (vom Handy aus dem o2 Netz) aufgelöst.

Moin, hat jemand schon "My Servers" in Kombination mit einer Fritzbox zum laufen gebracht? Ich hänge immer noch im Schritt fest, in dem man das Zertifikat erstellt, leider bekomme ich immer diese Meldung: In den DNS-Rebind-Schutz Einstellungen habe ich schon "unraid.net" eingefügt, dennoch komme ich nicht über den Schritt hinaus. If i use "restart_container" "yes" and your container restarted, the container i passthroughed aren't connectable anymore. so i have to restart them manually. do you have a workaround for that?

Sorry, hatte vergessen mein Ergebnis zu Posten: Es wurde am Ende die CyberPower CP900EPFCLCD 900VA/540W. Ergab am Ende für mich das beste Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und (laut Tests) einen vertretbaren Eigenverbrauch (von angeblich ca 2-6W). Mein Setup: Unraid Server (ca 50W), Ubuntu Server (ca 10W), Fritzbox, Raspberry Pi 3b, Raspberry Zero, Switch 8 Port Laufzeit Laut USV ca 40 min. Das reicht für mich um nen kurzen Stromausfall zu überbrücken, ohne dass alles direkt runtergefahren wird. Die USV ist per USB mit dem Unraid Server verbunden. Aus den CA habe ich NUT - Network UPS Tools genommen und lasse Unraid als Host laufen. Für (in meinem Fall) Ubuntu kann man dann NUT als Client laufen lassen, so das mein zweiter Server auch runtergefahren wird. Der Akku ist ein leicht austauschbarer Standard 12V 9Ah Blei Akku. Hier ein kleiner Guide für NUT unter Unraid. Und hier allgemeiner gehalten für Client/Server unter Linux Einziger "Nachteil" der mir bisher aufgefallen ist, dass die USV keinen selbständigen Selbsttest macht. Vielleicht lässt dieser sich aber über das Windows-Tool aktiveren/einrichten? *EDIT* Sollte es Probleme geben, dass der Server zwar runterfährt, aber nicht wieder hoch kommt, hier die Lösung.

*edit* Sorry, war zu schnell beim abschicken. Versuch mal in den Einstellungen deiner VMs das "Network Model" auf "virtio-netvirtio" zu ändern, das hat mir geholfen.
