JimJamUrUnraid
Please update the web experience to a responsive one. The current web view is unbearable. Quote Link to comment
BeersTeddy
Plus one for all those request. Not being able to access unraid from mobile/tablet in 2023 is a bit of shame for limetech 1 Quote Link to comment

The GUI seems to run fine on most tablets - it is only when one gets to the phone type form factors that there are issues. To be honest I am not sure that phone form factors will ever be supported as I feel the amount of work to redo the GUI to be fully responsive is likely to be extremely daunting and likely to demand more resources than Limetech have available. -Daedalus
I hear you, and I kind of agree to be honest; I don't see a phone as a common interface for the unRAID UI. I was more making a point that the "It works fine for me" type responses from a prominent community member/unRAID developer don't generally sit well with people (as I'm sure you guessed) Quote Link to comment
JimJamUrUnraid
Even on my iPad and Android tablet I have to tap menu items 5-6 times for it to register. Same holds true on my iPhone. It really can’t be that much work for a real web developer. Quote Link to comment

Going to have to disagree on this point. 7" and 8" tablets with <= 1080p resolutions are painful to navigate the gui on. Quote Link to comment

Current experience on mobile is terrible I am a huge fan of this idea. Also an official app would be very very nice, so i can check the status of my server easily from everywhere on my mobilephone. libook
I signed up for a forum account specifically to vote on this idea. I maintain my home server most of the time on my cell phone, via a web browser + an SSH client app. Quote Link to comment

I'm currently working with an Xiaomi Android Tablet Pad5. It's nearly impossible to work with the new Notification icon on the right. These three steps to get to the individual notifications always ends in deleting all notifications here. It's to small, to fast flickering and to many steps. On a desktop this is no problem. But on my tablet it's a pain. Perhaps I'm to old but IMHO this is no good user experience. I can't reach the individual notifications on my tablet any longer. So I stopped using the tablet for the Unraid GUI during vacations because it's useless. I wait til I'm back home 14 days later and use the desktop then. Just my 0.02 Cent. Quote Link to comment
StancuFlorin
It is a pain the check the Unraid dashboard on a mobile device Quote Link to comment
Glassed Silver
Sounds like something you'd be able to expect on a paid OS accessed mainly through Web UI in 2024. Of course, I prefer to work on my unRAID instance on my tablet with a high-res screen, but it's my phone that I have on me at all times and I OFTEN need to work on unRAID from it. Maybe a neat thing to add for unRAID 7 or one of its dot releases? Quote Link to comment
DarB
+1 for responsive UI. Just tried adjusting display font size on my phone to "Huge", makes no difference. I use the web ui on my phone all the time but just need to scroll in lots. It works okay, but having a responsive web UI would be really sweet. Quote Link to comment
Falcom
Hello It’s still a shame that in 2024 it will still not be possible to have a correct display on a smartphone. While FREE competitors, Truenas or openmediavault, do it natively. Quote Link to comment
KhayrDev
+1 for modern design the current desktop UI is dated in look and not efficiently organized but also needs to be responsive Quote Link to comment
ruhrpotter
Did someone saw this already? https://github.com/ccmorris/unraid-gui-responsive?tab=readme-ov-file Works surprisingly well. Some issues here and there but it's a step in the right direction! Quote Link to comment
glanny
Not yet, but I’m checking it out—thanks for the recommendation! I also want to learn coding in the near future, and I recently found this blog https://www.corelangs.оrg/js/string/cap/, which has some great articles. The way they explain concepts like string manipulation in JavaScript is really clear and helpful. It makes the learning process much more engaging. I’m curious, where did you guys learn coding? I’ve heard that there are various paths to take, from formal education to online courses and self-study. I think it’s great that there are so many resources available now, making it easier for anyone to dive into coding, regardless of their background. Whether it’s through coding bootcamps, YouTube tutorials, or blogs like CoreLangs, there seems to be something for everyone. I’m excited about the possibilities coding can offer, especially in terms of enhancing my design skills and opening new career opportunities Edited September 21 by glanny Quote Link to comment
