Is your Unraid Connect plugin up-to-date?

Hmmm... there is a plugin needed?

Where can i check this?

EDIT: Installed a Plugin called "Unraid Connect" (2026.05.11.1745) but got the same Error...

Key can not be linked to my profile...

Is this "linking" necessary for internal boot or can i skip this?

I guess I know what I am doing this weekend!

Updated from 7.1.4 with no issues

Also updated my two Unraid servers to 7.3.0 without issues, one was running the beta for a while and no problems at all in my setup. Well on that one I lost my key due to my own stupidity though as I thought it was bound to TPM where it was not and I removed the USB stick and had it actually blacklisted. But that was quickly solved by Limetech support 👍

Will need to check if my Supermicro based server can actually have it's key bound to TPM, I suspect not and I will need to get a TPM module for the header.

Can someone explain, what this means?

I had the same issue when I updated to 7.2.4. I scrolled down a bit and saw a button the said "link license to account". I clicked it and got a message that said it was successful.

I have no idea what it does or why you need to do it but the error message was gone. I don't have the Unraid connect plugin installed.

Upgrade from 7.2.4 --> 7.2.6 --> and then to 7.3.0. Both updates went well. Keep up the good work.

Updated and 7.3.0 and everything works. Switching tabs from dashboard to main to settings to share is instant. I was able to switch the flash drive to internal boot and TPM for licensing. Great job Unraid team.

Updated my backup for my main one to 7.3.0 from 7.2.6. Everything is working fine. My UPC also is working fine, with no need to download NUT. I did have to contact customer servicer before this due to my license being tied to my old email back when I bought them both in 2013. Once that was done and they both showed up on my unraid.net account I had no problem. I have already transferred the license of the backup one to tpm and went smoothly. So for anyone receiving errors when trying to link your keys to your account, be sure its not that you used a different email to purchase the keys compared to the one you use for your unraid.net account.

Updated to 7.3.0 and now i cant reach the WebGUI, but ssh is working...

Whats next now?

How can i get back to the WebGUI?

EDIT:

Connected a Keybpard and Mouse...

GUI-Mode also not working...

unable to connect to localhost...

EDIT 2:

Reverted back to 7.2.4 and all is working again...

This 7.3.0 is not really finished yet...

Please create a new thread in the general support forum and post the diagnostics after updating.

I think UPS support may be flawed in 7.3.0
I have APC one via USB - an older Unraid worked OK.
Now I have a situation as depicted on the attached picture.
I personally went to server room and unplugged the UPS and it is working, Unraid had an event about UPS.
My log is spammed with HID problems like on the attached image.UPS.jpg

Please see the release notes, there's an apparent kernel regression with the APC UPS service affecting some models, you can use the NUT plugin instead for now, that should still work fine and has very similar functionality.

Updated 2 Unraid systems, the borg and omv with out issues. Thank you.

Is there a requirement for functioning network when upgrading to 7.3? I run a Pihole docker and this usually means the network (more specifically, DNS) is unavailable when Unraid is rebooting. I backed up the flash and then upgraded from 7.2.6 to 7.3. Unraid booted to the OS selection screen but failed shortly after that. I left it for a 1600s or so while I went to get lunch but it was still unresponsive when I got back so I powered it down manually. I repointed the network to use 1.1.1.1 for DNS and tried to boot Unraid again and it booted without issue. Just posting here in case anyone else has seen similar behaviour?

Should not, but it's never recommended to have unraid behind pihole since it's pointless and often causes issues.

I can confirm that backup + quick-formatting the same exact key in Windows + [manually copying 7.3.0 + old config folder] + "makebootable.bat" solved the problem for me, I now am on a stable 7.3.0 without any pb.

Special thanks to @JorgeB for the diagnostics help !

I'm feeling foolish now. Just realised I have configured static DNS on Unraid itself to point to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. Issue must have been related to something else.

I just updated my server from 7.2.6... it responds to ping but there's no GUI. 😅

And this computer doesn't have a GPU.

I've installed a GPU, everything boots up fine, without errors, but there's no GUI

I'm going back to 7.2.6

But if I can't access the GUI, I can't run diagnostics, right?

I created a clean USB drive with 7.3.0 and it boots and reaches the GUI, but if I use my CONFIG folder, the GUI doesn't load.

7.2.6 works perfectly, so I have to go back because I need the server up and running.

In version 7.3.0, everything is fine in the log, but there is no GUI.

You can get them from the CLI or over SSH.

I updated six unRAID systems (unRAID 4 to unRAID 9), from 7.2.6 to 7.3.0, without any issues.

After a somewhat bumpy start, everything is running now as it should - thanks for the help JorgeB and thanks to the developer team for the good work 👍

I just upgraded to Unraid 7.3.0. Can I use the cache drive as a boot drive without affecting the existing cache? Is there a way to partition directly on Unraid? Thanks

You first have to copy the data off the cache elsewhere as setting it as a boot drive is destructive to any existing data. After doing that you can set it up as a boot+data drive. You then need to copy the data back to the cache drive to get back to your existing running state but using internal boot.
