More drives means more power and more independents points of failures. You can always keep the 3TBs and add them back later when you need the space (if they have no problem). If you go this way, I would advise to do an extended SMART test on each of the 3TB to know their health before storing them.

The driver development is on Realtek side. They submit what they submit to the linux kernel. There is only so much Limetech can do if the driver is not working properly for every chip.

I see two main options : connect the external drive to a computer and do the transfer over the network. connect the drive to Unraid and mount it using the Unassigned devices plugin. If you are using Unraid 6.10+, you can then use the Dynamix File Manager plugin to copy the files.

You'd be better off contacting the manufacturer rather than the seller for technical questions : Supermicro.

Pull the flashdrive, backup, download the release you want from : https://unraid.net/download Then replace the bz*files and changes.txt on the drive by those from the zip. You are good to go.

You probably have more than just the last version's backup using space on your drive. I only have 1.32TB used with the 'previous' folder accounting for 336MB.

What version of Unraid ? If it's 6.11.2, the version has a bug that prevents formats and you should update to latest.
