First of all, it is Morse code, not Moore's Code, not Moore's Law.
 

Second, "that other thread" is this thread apparently. So, you are in the wrong place, not them.

So you can create a new thread for non-morse content and 6.12 (that you populate yourself, since I don't think you can do much without actual content), or wait for an official 6.12 thread.

That's what I got from reading the whole thing.

"Making them a thread" ("...to keep playing") was not too polite btw.

 

Do I like the morse code thing myself? No. Do I care about such a thread existing (or bother me)? No.
Is "since 6.10" a long time? No, but anyway. When we will be in version 8.22, they will brag about this being "since 6.10" I guess.

Just a quick return from my personal testing. I make my cache pool with zfs with two nvme drive. I use 8 x 10To zfs for the array. I use a last nvme drive for cache and log on this array.  I have a usb key mount in the array on disk1

 

After that I make an userscript, this one start every time the array start. 

 

On this script I put :

import zpool tank

Mount -R /mnt/tank /mnt/disk1

 

 

And everything works perfectly disk1 show my zfs array and mover works great. 

 

Can't wait to install docker containers. Windows 11 VM works perfectly with gpu pass-through.

I can finally have a proper all ssd pool now! ZFS RaidZ1 with 4 SSDs. Looking forward to that.

Why do we even have to still keep asking to keep this thread from content pollution? No one has ever expressed any problem with his delivery "style" on his prior threads, because they had no important content and weren't generating much of traffic at all. As unfortunate as it is for now, the moderators seem to be totally unable to recognise any problem developing here whatsoever. In that case, the only practical solution would be to intentionally flood this thread with Morse in every single post. What's good for the goose, must be good for the gander....

TBH, I do feel this thread has evolved far beyond its original purpose. It has turned into a fun and interesting back and forth community discussion about 6.12. And I think the occasional little fun code only adds to that. Yes, the codes did get a little out of hand at one point. But in my opinion, the only thing that really detracts from this thread are the haters who complain about the codes.

Well since unraid 6.12 is supposed to add exciting stuff more than the previous version and there isn't any other thread to discuss / get information about those AFAIK it's pretty normal that people who have interest in discussing that come here, and then get dissatisfied by the banter.

 

If you want to avoid that then have a thread dedicated to those discussions so people can go there for it. If you don't want that then don't tease. Teasing things too early often causes anger if there's a lot of excitement for the new thing. If you tease things more than 2 weeks or so before release then people who started excited turn into "well when's it coming?" and ultimately get angry because they have started to plan things based on it and it's "still not there".

How was it not polite. All I was trying to achieve was for the thread not to be filled up with Morse code. Thanks for the correction above. However, I forgot we are on the internet. If someone took it offensive then too bad, not my intentions. 

 

I am glad it does not bother you. No worries I deleted the thread so no one can be offended for whatever reason they want to get mad at. I really could care less because I know I didn't offend anybody.

As someone who has been on the beta train with 6.12 for awhile now, I haven't had to submit a bug report for anything in beta 13 so things are looking bright!

 

Just remember guys, while we all know unRAID is a business and we all want to be keyboard warriors, for some people this is the only place they get to relax and have a good time; let's not try to sour the experience for everyone if you personally don't like the content, it's easy enough to just click away or start your own thread for more organized thoughts in a manner structured in your own way.

There are some known issues running a docker image (btrfs or xfs) on top of a zfs filesystem, AFAIK this is a zfs problem, not Unraid, solution for now is to create the image on a non zfs drive/pool or use the folder option.

All my existing Dockers are functional and update as necessary in beta 13. I did test installing a new Docker and did not have any issues. My Pools are XFS Cache Drive (single disk) and XFS Pool (One Drive + Parity)
