s.Oliver
@CHBMB – here my update on LibreELEC build & Digital Devices TV-Card it seems that with every beginning of a reording i see a mixture out of these errors in the TVH docker: 2018-03-14 20:11:30.052 [WARNING] linuxdvb: Unable to provide BER value. 2018-03-14 20:11:30.260 [WARNING] TS: DVB-C Network/130MHz/Channel Name Transport error indicator (total 1) 2018-03-14 20:12:00.051 [WARNING] linuxdvb: Unable to provide BER value. 2018-03-14 20:12:00.051 [WARNING] linuxdvb: Unhandled ERROR_BLOCK_COUNT scale: 0 2018-03-14 20:12:00.051 [WARNING] linuxdvb: Unable to provide UNC value. 2018-03-14 20:12:00.053 [WARNING] linuxdvb: Unable to provide BER value. 2018-03-14 20:12:00.054 [WARNING] linuxdvb: Unhandled ERROR_BLOCK_COUNT scale: 0 2018-03-14 20:12:00.054 [WARNING] linuxdvb: Unable to provide UNC value. 2018-03-14 20:12:00.143 [WARNING] TS: DVB-C Network/530MHz/Channel Name Transport error indicator (total 1) 2018-03-14 20:12:00.161 [WARNING] TS: DVB-C Network/522MHz/Channel Name Transport error indicator (total 1) 2018-03-14 20:12:00.224 [WARNING] tbl-pass: pass-eit: -: invalid checksum (len 109, errors 1) 2018-03-14 20:12:00.262 [WARNING] tbl-pass: pass-eit: -: invalid checksum (len 3638, errors 1) can't check the files (they just started recording) but i guess these errors at the beginning aren't (actually) serious, but because of TVH listing them in the list of running recordings (and so later in finished recordings) i can't tell a day or two later, if these errors were serious or not (because it can be, that additional errors occur while they get recorded). so in comparison to the github version it's a definite drawback for me. i've lots of recordings running, so it arises as a nightmare when i'm about to decide which to keep and which are worth of being treated any further (removing ads, etc.) and put them into the plex library. if i might ask for one more 6.5.x Github build? please. i'm willing to do testing with LibreELEC from time to time, but now, it's not the standard i was enjoying. Only problem is if I do one more build, what's going to change next time? Unless somebody reports these to Digital Devices and TVHeadend how are they going to get fixed or how are we going to get to the bottom of things? You file bug reports in those two places and I'll compile the github build. Can you link me to the bug reports so I can monitor them please? All the info you need should be on the DVB Plugin page, I've included a new line to tell people exactly what kernel we're running, to help with bug reports etc. Edited April 23, 2018 by CHBMB Link to comment

Looks like this is from summer last year, so not new. Might be Oscam use a deprecated method to set the speed. If everything works, I wouldn't worry about it. Link to comment
tbrasser
I was on 6.5.0-rc6 and when I wanted to upgrade to 6.5.0 weird things started happening. Initially I got an error on the DVB plugin page. So I tried to uninstall the plugin which said it wasn't installed in the first place. Then I tried installing it (again), but I got errors when it tried to extract the tar file (errorcode 2). What I did is upgrade to 6.5.0 stock using the normal upgrade path. And after that I tried installing the plugin again. tbrasser
I narrowed it down to my /var filling up with syslogs. Turned out my VM setup with primary nvidia passtrhough is giving me BARs warnings continuesly. Not starting any VM's on boot made everything work again. So it didn't have anything to do with this plugin in the end, got LibreElec 6.5.0 running now! Thanks for the help anyway, and if someone knows how to stop uninteresting log entries from filling up the partition (or is familiar with the type of error I got, posted in the 6.5.0 release thread) feel free to post it (A) Link to comment

Quad tuner S2, run custom firmware on it and then the signal gets distributed over ethernet and is decoded by tvheadend. Removes the need for DVB drivers in Unraid. Otherwise there are plenty of dual tuner cards that work in Linux, TBS and I believe digital devices is working well. LinuxTV is a good source of information. 1 1 Link to comment

I could probably live without switching if I dedicate a single LNB input to Astra 19E Q2: Does it pick up EPG channel guide stuff or does that come from the tvheadend s/w?
