I find that one strange too. 😆

I got this FCP email from its nightly scan

Share archives set to use pool fast, but files / folders exist on the cache pool

That share is configured Primary:fast; Secondary:cache; Mover action:cache->fast

The point being to allow it to overflow. It seldom does so I have only got this once before. And when I run FCP manually it has already been moved so no longer a "problem".

But it isn't a problem anyway. Seems FCP isn't aware that Secondary is allowed to be a pool with recent Unraid versions.

How are plugins added to CA so that they become known/recognised as compatible with unRAID?
RE: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/189395-plugin-secure-unraid-webgui-with-acmesh/
The 'fix common problems' plugin just generated the following warning message:

"The plugin ACME.plg is not known to Community Applications and is possibly incompatible with your server"
with a suggested fix comment:

"As a general rule, if the plugin is not known to Community Applications, then it is not compatible with your server. It is recommended to uninstall this plugin"

so I'm just wondering how to get this useful plugin added so that it can be recognised by CA as compatible?

Otherwise I'm quite happy to just ignore the warning for now.

I have a false-positive for this rule.

Share xxx is an implied array only share, but files / folders exist on the cache drive.

Example:
Share backups set to use pool nvme, but files / folders exist on the tank pool

I use use 2 pools: nvme and tank. Both are ZFS. I cannot delete a Share folder, since ZFS will persist it.

Thus, if a Share folder is on ZFS, then it should be skipped.

Unless, I am misunderstanding?

Hi 🙋‍♂️

Machine Check Events detected on your server - Your server has detected hardware errors. The output of mcelog has been loggeg. Post your diagnostics and ask for assistance on the Unraid forums  More Information

Can someone guide me on this. I see some errors in logs, related to rsyslog, but don't think it's the cause for reboot/crash?

Perhaps because of this? But I don't change my hardware.

Feb 24 09:41:25 Thanos root: Fix Common Problems: Error: Machine Check Events detected on your server

I'm also having issues with the "Files / Folders exist on..." errors.

In this screenshot, every one of these shares has cache as the primary storage and mainpool as the secondary storage, so they're behaving as expected.

Cache and Mainpool are both ZFS pools, and I do not have an Array. I suspect this issue is caused by the plugin not understanding that I don't have an array.

Three things:
1) 'Local TLD' is incorrect according to the plugin. (something in the style of a.example.com)
2) 'Local TLD' is in unraid settings, but that setting seems to also mean 'DNS suffix'/'search domain'.
3) I created an issue https://github.com/unraid/fix.common.problems/issues/5

Just fixing this in 'fix common problems' still leaves the naming which is confusing. TLD and DNS suffix aren't really interchangeable terms. It would be nice if it could be changed to be eg. 'Domain', which would be clearer.

While I've ignored this warning for now. I think it's dangerous to recommend people away from perfectly working stable plugins to vibe coded plugins like this one. Just my two cents.

I ran into the same issue. I don't use the standard array but 2 ZFS pools. One nvme and the other spinners. I have them set to ignore. It the check doesn't

I second that. My thoughts when I first saw that too

hello I have a fix problems error

Just a reminder for @vedadechiee and many other recent posters to this thread.

If you have an actual problem to report about the Fix Common Problems plugin itself, this is the correct thread.

If instead, Fix Common Problems is telling you about a problem you need to fix, you should post a new thread in General Support with the problem FCP is telling you about along with your diagnostics.

Before posting to any existing docker or plugin support thread, it is always a good idea to at least read the first post in the thread:

Any support for problems this plugin finds, should be posted in the General v6 section of these forums.  Problems relating to false positives, suggestions for more checks, why I made the decisions I did, wording mistakes in suggestions, etc. should be posted here.

Why do I get:
"Share HomeAssistant_backup set to use pool cache, but files / folders exist on the main_zfs pool"

when I have configured "main_zfs" as secondary storage?

It's an FCP bug, it doesn't correctly support using pools as primary and secondary storage.

Hi Lovely/Cleverer peeps than me,

My server started warning me that I had an invalid folder in .mnt called 'download' a few days ago; so Ive checked every single docker containers shares and I cant find one called download. Everything thats needs it is configured for the 'downloads' folder. Ive had a look at the help files and it says to post the full FCP error and the diagnostics in here. So this is what Im doing. Any ideas?

I did try creating a download folder but the error still remains.

hi,

recently FCP is warning me that "Share appdata set to cache-only, but files / folders exist on the array". I am trying to determine why and wondering if anyone has an idea. Thanks in advance. My Pool is ZFS if that helps

Many unknown Issues for Dynamix, Driver and USB Manager Plugins.

* The plugin Name of the Plugin.plg is not known to Community Applications and is possibly incompatible with your server

Same with manilx under this.

I suddenly got this in fix common problems: The plugin ugreenleds-driver.plg is not known to Community Applications and is possibly incompatible with your server

Was fine yesterday!

Had it running on 7.3 also since I updated a couple of days ago.

And the plugin is available in the app store

Same by the Plugins above under 7.2.x

Same Problem with Prometheus Node Exporter. The Author says he didn't change anything. The Plugin is still available in the community store.

I had the same problem this morning, however the FCP plugin was updated, downloaded the update and ran a scan again. Now its not an issue :-)

I also updated the plugin this morning but a scan shows exactly the same issue with ugreenleds-driver, so no change here.

P.S. I disabled the warning, re-enabled it again and did another scan. This time all was OK.
Go figure

After the automatic Update of Fix Common Problems this night, the Problem is gone. Thanks!
