Are you sure that nothing is in the error.log or access.log from lancache itself?

Heres what I can find in the error.log file of LANCache:

No, these are one occurring while downloading and don't have anything to do with the HDD itself, the HDD can't know that the chunk that you've downloaded doesn't match the CRC.

So possibly some other kind of hardware conflict is what you might be hinting at?

If you experiencing this issues search your log for error or crc

However if you are experiencing that even from a PC downloading a game, lancache itself is the cause of the issue.

I've only been using the prefill option thus far. I didn't want to put excessive wear and tear on my daily use driver.

Please don't use lancache on raid1, it will be certainly not fast...

But... what if it was a SSD RAID 1 cache?

I think this is caused by your lancache, but please keep in mind I'm not the maintainer of that template and I'm not that deep into lancache that I know how it works.

Maybe a configuration error, I really don't know.

LANCache-Prefill nor LANCache won't put much wear and tear on your disks since it only saves data and of course reads it when someone downloads the game.

I would also try a real PC and see if the same happens, if yes -> make a post in the lancache support thread, if no -> continue the conversation with all your logs in the GitHub issue that you've already posted or even better create a new issue since it seems not related to that issue.

RAID1 is not always better, especially for small chunks like lancache uses.

I have rustdesk installed currently on Unraid manually (not through community applications. Unfortunately because of the way it is installed it creates more work to keep going. I am wanting to Install the RustDesk app that you have made but I am having difficulty figuring out how to add my Domain to it. Installing it manually I just had to change the

command: hbbs -r <your-cool.server.com>:21117

to my domain but I  am not sure how to do this with the community app install. Any advice that you could provide would be much appreciated.

You don't have to do that because the container listens on all interfaces so to speak 0.0.0.0 and you just have to do a port forwarding in your router and as long as your domain points to your public IP you can connect through it.

Just install the container, do the port forwarding in your router and you can connect to the container through your domain.

For those having issues with MagicMirror after the most recent update (constant reboots, essentially not starting up)

It looks like for me it was the plugin/module MMM-MyCalendar breaks it. I have disabled it for now and there has been a issue created below. Let's hope it is looked at soon...

		proxy_pass http://<CONTAINERIP>:8080/;
		proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
		proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade";

		# VNC connection timeout
		proxy_read_timeout 61s;

		# Disable cache
		proxy_buffering off;

		location / {
		rewrite ^/$ https://<thunderbird.yourdomain.com>/vnc.html?autoconnect=true redirect;
		#include /config/nginx/authelia-location.conf;

		proxy_set_header Host $host;
		proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;

		proxy_http_version 1.1;
		proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
		proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade";
		proxy_pass http://<CONTAINERIP>:8080/;

Hope that helps.

Now I have the problem that every password is accepted. Is there a command you have to use for this?

I don't understand? What do you mean that every password is accepted?

I assume you mean the key from your server correct?

If you mean that every client can connect to your Server (even without the key) than yes, this is correct but if they do so without the key they are not able to establish a connection to anything.

With what options where you running the server before?

This was also discussed here:

Thanks for your reply. Everybody without and with the key can connect to the Server. A friend of me is connected to my PC by enter the wrong key! The connection is established to my computer. Before Unraid i used RustDesk with Docker Compose on a Rasperry Pi.

I am just using LuckyBackup to mirror my files from my Synology to my new Unraid-Build. Backing up one share worked like a charm, synchronizing another share that I might fill with new files on the Synology before the migration is complete however, scared me a bit. LuckyBackup via VNC shows "deleting files" in the Information Window for all the files mentioned in the commands output. However, this is the first sync and nothing has been deleted on the source nor the destination. Also, the files mentioned there are both still available on source and destination.

Is this just a mistakenly shown text caused by VNC? I read about red text in the commands output being a VNC error, too. For my understanding this should read "transferring files:".

Where did you read that?

The colour red is somethimes wrong but not what it states.

Thanks for the quick reply.

That‘s what it‘s been saying for five hours in the information window. However, files are transferred and I don‘t know what files and where are deleted.

A full screenshot would help more…

It seems that it‘s overwriting the files but I don‘t know nothing about your setup.

You have to check that on your own if the sync is set up correctly. Usually it copys the files from dir A to dir B and deltes/adds/updates them if necessary.

I can only offer a mobile screenshot.

I configured it as a sync and without any additional manual options. It does transfer the files, the mentioned files are on the Synology NAS and on my Unraid server. It‘s a first-time sync, so there are no changes or deletions that would be processed. I guess, it‘s just weird behavior.

OMG I didn't say the container, ich777/thunderbird

This container is not designed to run a second container in it especially for security reasons. I always recommend to copy links from the container to your local browser.

However it is possible to run Firefox/Chromium inside that container but I wouldn‘t recommend it…

Maybe something like my Debian Bookworm container is something what you are looking for but there Thunderbird isnmt installed bit you can do that through apt or the tar itself.
