marshy919
I love how everything can be done from 1 box - extremely helpful. One thing to improve would be the UI for the shares and users. Really needs a makeover - try deleting a share/user. Quote Link to comment
mattmill
I love how easy unraid is to use. It just got even easier after that last GUI update. What I’d like to see added is some sort of built it back up solution. Whether that be server to server or server to local nas I don’t really mind but it would save having to rely on dockers and scripts. Quote Link to comment
bluesky509
Like: Ease of use. Using this on my first server and I like how easy it was to get everything going. The forums having been great for getting help. Wishlist: I could think of many but... Mobile app (Android)... Even if only for simple tasks such as restarting/power off the system and/or dockers would be great. Quote Link to comment
trott
I like how easy unraid is to setup a VM I would see multi-array support, better with actual raid 1/10 support Quote Link to comment
Fadinglionhart
I love how unraid allows me to add new drives of different sizes to increase storage capacity. I would like to see docker-compose added to the OS in 2020. Quote Link to comment
ConfusedFury
I like how I can add drives to the array at any time I'm still new to unraid so there's features I still have to explore but one thing that would be good if added would be an app to monitor the array from your phone Quote Link to comment
Willus
I haven't taken the dive yet but from what I've seen I love the community support behind this project. I'd like to see better ZFS support. Thanks for doing this! Quote Link to comment
jdstemmler
One thing I like most about Unraid is how easy it was to get set up and going at the beginning. It's the perfect platform to grow with your needs as adding additional drives, VMs, and apps is super easy and straightforward. One thing I would like to see added to the platform in 2020 would be a native way to re-balance drives based on the include/exclude lists in the share settings. If I wanted to consolidate a share onto a single drive, for example, I have to use something like the un-balance plugin. Quote Link to comment
yendi
I love having the ability to use dockers. Actually I was using 10 drive and reduced it yo only 4, and keep unraid only for the Docker support. In 2020 I would love having a branch for critical operation: Update delayed to have a bug free system to be sure to have a stable release. Let’s be honest the 6.7 version was a major failure and we could not afford this again. Also build in backup system. Quote Link to comment
radwimp
Like: Ability to keep data even if there are multiple drive failure, losing whole arrays in other RAID configs is always a pain. Want: Snapshots! Quote Link to comment
H0TF00T
Super simple and flexible "Swiss army knife" of options is what I love about Unraid. I get to experiment with Docker images and community apps I've not heard about previously ... easily add and remove drives, no fuss. Just too much to like! The ability for support of other VM formats would be awesome in 2020. Would like to be able to import VMs I've created in Virtualbox as an example. Really like to replace my current Sponge Bob case badge with an Unraid one too... Quote Link to comment
Hill1023
I love the community and the ease of docker setup. I’d love to see multiple arrays. Quote Link to comment
twhitson
I love how easy Unraid is to use and that I can add a drive and have it ready in my array within a day. I would love to see a better Docker add/edit UI. Right now, adding variables, ports, and paths feels like an afterthought. I would love it to be more like Portainer and keep the 3 concerns separated. arostad
I really like how polished the GUI is. It's honestly one of the best ones out there. I'd like to see support for installing the OS to a mirrored set of SSDs or SATA DOMs. I'd also like to see built in support for ZFS volumes. Quote Link to comment
mikekim4x
I love unRaid’s versatility. It can be a simple NAS solution or a very powerful server or even a gaming PC. I’d like to see better cache pool performance. Quote Link to comment
witalit
1. How easy it is to install Dockers/Plugins to run all my good stuff :-) 2. Android App for remote management of my server over Wireguard connection Quote Link to comment
ArthurL
I love how easy Unraid is to get up and running. I was complete noob 2 years ago, and today I have a fully running system with a 64TB HDD array, over 15 dockers and a VM running as my primary desktop (GPU pass-through, and everything). For 2020, there’s a few things I’d like to see but if I had to choose one.. I’d like a way to save snapshots of my VMs. There’s a way to back up the VMs today but it’s quite manual.. and not as seamless. Quote Link to comment
mossiemosforth
I love the flexibility of the system, meaning I can run everything I want to on 1 piece of hardware. What I would like to see is the ability to snapshot VMs brought into the GUI. Edited December 28, 2019 by mossiemosforth Spelling Quote Link to comment
mukow
Unraid is what got me started on Docker. I had zero knowledge prior to starting with unraid 3 years ago. Now I have around 30 containers running on 3 unraid systems. I can't wait to see Docker compose support on unraid. It would help management of Dockers heaps. Quote Link to comment
tidusjar
One thing I really like is how easy and simple it is to configure new docker containers. Removes the need to understand how docker really works. But then had the flexibility to go more advanced. One thing I'd like to see in the future is the ability to run something like kubernetes Quote Link to comment
Notsure
I love that the simplicity of Unraid is opening a new world of virtualization for newbies like me. I would like Unraid would support SSDs as a bootable drive. The fact that special arrangements have to be made for the flash drive is somewhat annoying. Quote Link to comment
ka_jan
A thing I like about Unraid? That I got it to work! Repeatedly! I'd really like to be able to use Docker Icons from the Storage. I'm a simple man with simple wishes. Quote Link to comment
HAMANY
The ability to easily adding new HDDs to the array, and to use cheap archive drives instead of NAS drives. Would love to see native cloud access DDNS feature similar to Synology QuickConnect. Quote Link to comment
Wilkie
One thing I like most about Unraid is that it works way better than openmediavault and has less hardware requirements than FreeNAS. One thing I would like to see added is Trim support for SSD arrays. Quote Link to comment
Odom
I love how you can easily increase the array with any disk, the flexibility is amazing. I would like to see more write performance. Quote Link to comment
