Usually this means your bios is configured to use USB1.1 instead of USB2 or USB3 (or your flash only supports USB1.1). With USB1.1 reading bzimage then bzroot is slooooow. Quote Link to comment
eagle470
I just ran into an issue where I was doing some maintenance on my DHCP/DNS configs (shifting from pihole to router) and the server unmounted /user. The oddest thing was I had stopped docker, but not the array. unfortunately my router decided that same moment was a great time to stop working. It was fixed by resetting my router and rebuilding that config from scratch AND i had to yank the USB key and rerun the makebootable script or the web UI wouldn't come up on unraid. I could load the cli (locally, no network either) and see my shares all mounted, with no data lost. But yeah. I'm not sure what happened here. Quote Link to comment

I know this happens in Gnome, xfce and KDE. It is much worse if you have a dark theme enabled. I don't use Windows so I don't know about that OS. It can be mitigated via a CSS tweak. The Firefox developers say that this is not an issue due to pages written purely in CSS, not due to a Firefox bug, if you consider native input styles to be a feature rather than a bug. See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1283086 Yeah Im using KDE Plasma on Kubuntu. I noticed the message popping up about browser tracking but I didnt associate it with the terminal window. Was very annoying. Im wondering whether its the same issue causing special characters, CTRL +, to not show up in VNC. Its bugging the hell out of me as I cant access a VM via VNC from another VM. Its onlya recent development but Im yet to track down why its doing it. Quote Link to comment

tjb_altf4
Currently can't boot, killed modprobe -r $drivers hanging. Had multiple successful boots into 6.8.1, but I just changed GPU (I use GUI boot mode). Tried power cycling and trying again, no dice. Safe mode doesn't allow for boot either. Finally pulled up an out for chkdsk on windows, on completion of check no errors were found. Popped back to unraid... Still with the same error. Rolled back hardware, no difference. Rolled back to previous unraid version as a last measure... Yes I'm finally up and running again (on 6.8.0) Edited January 26, 2020 by tjb_altf4 Quote Link to comment

S1dney
Hey Guys, Is this patch also available for those holding on 6.8rc7? I want to stay on kernel 5.4, but leaving my host vulnerable is also not that appealing. Appreciate the help! Cheers Quote Link to comment

Well, if I read your initial post on 01-11-2010, there is a security vulnerability discovered in the form-based authentication. If all users are strongly encouraged to update/patch this flaw, I'd really also like to deploy it of course. I wasn't able to find any of the releases that included the kernel 5.4 with it, they all seem to revert me back to a kernel version below 5. Thanks again! Docker and VM's up and running. I had to recreate two Windows VM's (using form view to create a new XML and point to existing .qcow2 and .img vdisk) because both of them didn't boot: Blackscreen with error: no bootable device. These two Windows VM's boot off of an Unassignd SSD, i had to update the plugin (Unassignd Devices) before upgrade. So either this plugin update or the Unraid upgrade itself messed something up. Passthrough of Intel IGD (4th Gen) still working 👍 Rolled back to 6.7.2 because passtrough is a little buggy (Qemu/Libvirt ??). On a Windows 10 VM on which i passtrough an Intel IGD sometimes my screen shows "random" purple/yellow pixels. On VM bootup none of my usb devices get detected. Some of them like mouse works after detach and attach with "Hotplug usb" plugin. So i rolled back to 6.7.2 and now everything i fine again. Quote Link to comment
