  1. I tend to prefer Molex to Sata adapters. Generally the cables are bigger.
  2. In your description, IT mode(s) => IT mode, it should be fine. 👍
  3. @3FniuFnG9qk7yYf you should contact support.
  4. Please attach the diagnostics zip file to your next post.
  5. Can you clarify ? If you mean about the initial question Then yes, this is available. How well it works, I can't say.
  6. Impossible to say without the diagnostics. Please attach the zip file to your next post.
  7. You should contact support.
  8. As a general rule, this forum is for Unraid related questions. (except specific subforums like Lounge)
  9. You are not supposed to preclear SSDs. The tool is only used for HDDs.
  10. Yeah I realized that some time after I posted. But I figured that having an official answer would still be useful for the Community.
  11. Super interesting. Can you confirm that even if seen as a hard drive, it will not be counted as such for licensing purpose ?
  12. If you are using VMs with passthrough HW, it might be good to stop your VMs autostartup and maybe the VM service.
  13. It is advertised as IT-Mode so probably already done.
  14. It was stated in the podcast that there will be no penalities if you skip some updates.
  15. Have you checked https://www.ebay.com/str/theartofserver ? That's where I would go if I was in the US.
  16. Possibly some information here too : (just started it, not sure)
  17. Didn't see those at the time in the Reddit post. I saw those here afterwards. I'm at work so I cannot update my previous posts each time there are new posts here.
  18. I thought I missed on things on the forum, so I did check on the Reddit thread. It seems full of maybes and a self reinforcing loop of concerns. But I don't really understand the rootcause. The code excerpt seems quite unconclusive. Changing the update process to provide more details and a proper sequence to incite people to actually read the release is something that many people were asking for. The goal is probably to reduce the number of people that end up in the very situation that was detailed in the release note. The introduction through the Connect plugin was explained. And I tend to agree that the use of plugin rather than baking everything in Unraid proper is a good solution for many reasons. Mainly because it allows for quicker updates when things need changing. Now, I do not have any inside information and Limetech could play the evil genius and try to backstab the community, but I don't see any proofs or even hints of that to that day. I do agree, however, that the situation with users' doubts and fears would require more communication from the team.
  19. But isn't the Free ESXI a thing of the past with the new company policy ? https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2024/02/broadcom-owned-vmware-kills-the-free-version-of-esxi-virtualization-software/
  20. No issues either. 😉
  21. Hi @ajhdr, Please attach you syslog or better again your diagnostics. No one will scroll such a long log extract.
