FYR. I check back Unarid and VM use same network interface, VMs in either br0 or br0.3

I never setting multiple gateway in Unraid, my VM have running in different VLAN and gateway ( same router mac address actually), but I can't remember on a separate physical NIC or not. Suggest you could try blank the IP and gateway for that VLAN in Unraid setting. ( I also set in this way, this is normal because you want truly separate them, otherwise you won't use VLAN ). That means Unraid network can't reach the VM, but you can use buildin VNC to control it, or loopback in your router WAN between two VLAN.

Yes, because parity mainly used to against disk failure only. With backup, I even think I don't need parity, I will turn parity to data disk if I run out of space. ( But I won't build in separate NAS, just have full backup )

Unraid build-in memtest seems not support multiple thread testing, suggest use https://www.memtest86.com/ or https://www.memtest.org one. Let's see if completely disable docker, if rsync again will ceash again.

Most NVMe not support SMART test. Keep monitoring attributes already enough. You can further Scrub disk for deeper check.

OK, seldom found it will assign in sdj. Problem seems on boot USB, may be try switch between UEFI or legacy boot mode in BIOS. USB also need create support both boot mode.

Try disconnect Verbitam USB disk first.

Then check at pihole FTL log and check does receive and reply Unraid's request. Or simple try use router for dns resolve, if problem solve, it is pihole issue.

You sure you have local dns on 192.168.1.1 ? Usually the dns are same as gateway, so check your router DHCP dns setting.

Yeah, my last two UPS also come from those channel, 2200va (free, battery dead only）and 1500va (20usd, battery dead and need electronic troubleshoot ) Below is the 1500va one, I finally remove the bulk AVR transformer because I don't need AVR function as switching PSU are wide voltage support, its weight reduce to less then 2kg without battery.

You may found some help about buying a used rack UPS. To be honest, upright type can be lie down, so not must rack type. Those cheaper a lot.

How poorly rated ? In general, 2U UPS will cover 1000-2000VA, I would suggest you buy some 2nd hand UPS. My three APC UPS over 10yrs age. Newly APC UPS may not support ACUPSD / NUT management, you will got monitoring issue.
