48GB of DDR3 ECC UDIMM.

Will expend it to 96GB later this year I think. It'll be overkill, but I like having room to grow and so far I've only populated 3 of my 12 slots. :P

4x Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR3 8GB 1600MHz (32GB)

32GB here. My previous setup was primarily running VMs, so I needed a lot of RAM. Now I normally don't even use 25% with 15+ dockers and a single VM running.

yeah, sitting here with 32GB too, but tmpfs for things like a plex transcode folder is a good use of the RAM, reduces cache writes too :)  I made a 24GB max one

DDR3 is quite cheap i went with 128GB (8x8 + 16x4). I have not finished configuring unraid but for now using less than 24GB with 34 dockers and 4 vms.

I probably could use a tmpfs in ram too.

i upgraded from 32 to 64 DDR Ram.

Plex using alot of RAM here and i wanted a 3rd VM Ubuntu for xrdp remote chrome etc.

may a question, is the /tmp from host autpmatically usable as RAM disk ? so when i mount /transcode from Plex to /tmp in host should it be all in RAM or do i have to mount something special for RAM ?

Anything on the host that is not under /mnt or /boot is automatically in RAM.

Perfect, thanks for the Info

Single Win10VM with max 16GB assigned

Might have a play with some other VMs but cant see myself ever need anymore.

true, but the automatically created one uses mount defaults, including a max size of 1/2 your RAM... which, could be very important.  For example, I found that if I am DVRing and watching something I could pull down 22GB of space and I have 32GB of RAM.  If I used defaults, then I'd run out of space and my DVRs would get auto cancelled.  I mounted manually with a max size of 24GB to avoid this.

64GB ECC, going to 96GB or 128GB once I get a replacement motherboard.  Provided my extra RAM didn't get killed by my current board.

16GB ECC

8GB, the max my 2010 motherboard can handle. I don't use many plugins or dockers, but I really do need way more than that. My Dynamix Cache Directories seems to max out my RAM and my drives still spin every time I open the mapped drives. Tried wiping the plugin and reinstalling with stock and altered settings, still spins up. How come this isn't built directly into the source code of UnRaid.
