My only issue is that after I update the valheim_plus.cfg and restart the server, it seems to delete it and pull a fresh one.

That is really strange since I've also run an instance with Valheim+ and I have no issue whatsoever with a lot of changes.

Have you changed anything in the template itself, if possible post a screenshot.

With what editor are you editing the file?

Is the world saved or is it also wiped after you've restart the server?

As said above everything working fine here, even after an update from Valheim.

This warnings are pretty normal and are produced by WINE.

I will install the dedicated server on my server to try it on my own and report back. Server runs just fine, see 2 posts below.

ive tried "enablecheats"

This should be the correct syntax:

enablecheats ADMINPASSWORD

Have you set the admin password in the GameUserSettings.ini file or in the template, I would strongly recommend to set it in the template.

Can you send over a screenshot from the message?

I've now tried it on a fresh copy pulled from the CA App and it works flawlessly:

Have you also created and fille in the 'serverSteamAccount' like described in the GAME_PARAMS variable?

I will also push an update to the container itself shortly to update the base. DONE

This is what a full startup looks on my server: theforest.log

@ich777 Hey there, I have set up a project zomboid docker as you have instructed and it creates server logs and seems to be up and running, however i cannot connect to it or find it in the steam server list. Any idea what I am missing?

Hey,

look in ...\projectzomboid\Zomboid\Server\servertest.ini

change "Public=false" -> Public=true

and you find the server in game

Wait, you are trying to connect over the internet from what I see, is NAT reflection working or did you try this from your local network?

Have you yet tried to connect through your LAN? I would also recommend that you double check the port forwarding and the protocols.

That option won't work because the necessary tools are not installed inside the container to debug, but if it will work, the output from the debug command is only good for the Steam team because you can't basically get nothing from that.

Btw you have to type in 'su $USER' forst to be on the right user account, but anyways that won't help in any way.

I will take a look at this ASAP and report back.

Hello, It's been a long time since my last feedback. Is there any advice to fix this problem? (Still can't start the server normally with cleanup start)

I still can't reproduce this error.

Have you tried since then to install the container, of course wipe it before completely:

Delete the contianer

Delete the l4d2 folder from your appdata directory

Pull a fresh copy from the CA App

On what unRAID version are you?

Have you installed a Cache driver if yes, make sure that the appdata directory is set to use cache "Only" or "Prefer" in the Share settings. If you don't have a Cache drive make sure to point it at the right disk where your appdata directory is located and also make sure that the files aren't split over multiple directories.

Also make sure to not set the game directory to a path like /mnt/user/appdata/... it always needs to know where the files are located physically, so to speak: /mnt/cache/appdata/... or /mnt/disk1/appdata/...

Here is the log from a fresh pulled container from the CA App: l4d2.log

Hi there Ich:

1st of all thank you for your work.

I'm trying to setup an ARK server, but I can't find it searching for servers. I added corresponding NAT rules, but checking the container logs this is what I found:

Log_for__ARKSurvivalEvolved.jpg.e63510b996e1deb5a677dcebaecf8408.jpg

This is my NAT configuration:

1737138566_configuracion_de_la_red.jpg.0d1ea65b36c281f5c2c5bd478b7aa305.jpg

And this is the docker config:

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance:

On what unRAID version are you? Please upgrade at least to 6.9.2, seems like a strange error from SteamCMD.

Please don't forward both TCP and UDP if only TCP or UDP is needed, some games doesn't like that and that is also from a security perspective bad...

UDP Ports: 7777, 7778, 27015

TCP Port: 27020 (only if you need it, you don't necessarily have to forward this port)

Please also check if you can see the server in the Steam Server Browser at Favorites -> click Add Server -> enter YOURunRAIDIP:27015

Really sorry for this, but im completely lost at how to make the Ark cluster server, neither the pinned post nor the linked github make sense to me. Is there any kind of video (thats recent) that you guys recommend? or maybe some easy to follow instructions?

I'm not really the guy that can help with ARK but maybe @Cyd can help, I've seen a few people in this thread running a Cluster that consists of 6 containers.

The second recommended post should help or am I wrong... at least the linked Github from @Cyd should shed some light on it.

Don't know if anyone made a video on that, if not maybe @Sycotix can help with that... :D

Hi there itch and thank for your answer.

Server still not working. I'm running latest unRaid version 6.9.2 and changed the forwarded ports as you said. No changes made to the container.

Regarding Steam server browser you mean: https://www.steambrowser.com/ ?

Thanks in advance.

No, do the following:

  1. Open up Steam
  2. Click on View
  3. Click on Server
  4. Click on Favorites
  5. Click on Add Server
  6. Enter: YOURunRAIDIP:27015 (also try YOURunRAIDIP:7777 that always depends on the game you are trying to connect to)
  7. Important Click on Refresh once more

Then you should see the server and you can also connect through this window by double clicking on your server.
