Every time I move a file from one location to another (from eg. shared scratch location (nvme) to a cached location (mec. disk)) within shared locations in NFS I constantly get stale file handles and the client drops out. This can be critical as some VM's uses the same mounted shares as I have in general bad luck with write permissions with 9p over VM's. But it's quite annoying for my regular workstation as well as I suddenly looses access due to stale handle when a "Mover" has been running.

How to reproduce: 1. Create a virtual machine using Carolyn3.xml 2. Edit VM Carolyn3 using form view by adding some description, press update 3. Edit againin XML view just to view XML - result in Carolyn3after.xml I've attached Carolyn3aftersorted.xml which has some <controller> blocks moved to match Carolyn3.xml for better comparison. diff --suppress-common-lines Carolyn3.xml Carolyn3aftersorted.xml 4a5 > <description>some description</description&

Hey, I just upgraded from 6.12.4 to 6.12.6 and can't boot up my server. It's stuck on "triggering udev events: /sbin/udevadm trigger --action=change" I have no idea what that means or what I can do to fix it. I've tried resetting the BIOS, unplugging all PCIe devices, but that changed nothing. Hardware: i5-12500 Prime H670-Plus D4 32GB 3200MHz (also tried without enabling XMP) 1 PCIe USB Controller 1 PCIe to SATA Card 5 HDDs 3 NVMe SSDs organized in 2

Hi Unraid community, I'm facing a problem with the writes to my USB flash drive in Unraid. Every time I access the dashboard, the USB writes increase by 14 times. It seems like the docker config file is being updated with each access. Here's my setup: Main server running Unraid 6.12.4 Intel i5-12600 Ram 32GB Test server running Unraid 6.11.5 Intel i7-4770K Ram 16GB Interestingly, the issue doesn't occur on the test server with version 6.11.5, but it starts

Hi, after OS update (6.11.0 to 6.12.6) the mixed array wiht btrfs and xfs disk is not complete running, only xfs is running. I ask first in the german section (https://forums.unraid.net/topic/150298-6126-btrfs-format-unmountable/), and my solution now is change both disks also to xfs. but here is the diagnostics file:keks-diagnostics-20231230-1424.zip

Randomly, about once a month average, unraid becomes unreachable as well as the dockers, everything. A reboot resolves the issue until it happens again. Please see attached diagnostics. Please help? Force restarting all the hdds monthly can't be good for the hdd longevity.. Add new diag zip with syslog. spacelab-diagnostics-20231129-2318.zip

Hello there, I have noticed that the GPU passthrough is broken ever since upgrading to 6.12.3. This gives me quite q few hedaaches, especially since it "sometimes" (sorry i don't have a better word for it since i am no native speaker - so please, if you can find it in your hearts, forgive me). But it does not work "randomly". So what's the deal: there are 4 gpus in my system 2x 1030 1x 2070 Super and 1x 3060 My usual setup is: 1x 1030 for unraid itself 1x 10

(apologies for the long post) I'm trying to track down an issue where shsf randomly hangs every few days, causing my whole server to become unresponsive. The Unraid upgrade and reboot process is halting at the code "triggering udev events: /sbin/udevadm trigger --action=change". Later, I found that the system can't enter the GUI, and I suspect it's an issue with the dedicated graphics card driver. What should I do now?

I updated from 6.12.4 to 6.12.6 during the weekend - same time i created a VM that was running in the background. So i don't know if the VM has any influence or not - not yet. unraid is pingable, but nothing else. webinterface dead, ssh dead, even when i try to login with a keyboard and monitor, after entering user root nothing happens and 60 seconds later it shows "login timed out after 60 seconds" - i was not asked for password after the user. both crashes exactly same, had to do ha

I was previously running my dockers, and docker image on /mnt/cache/ instead of /mnt/user/ but this new exclusive share feature seems to be a better solution. However, I turned on permit exclusive shares in the global share settings. I cant select to turn on exclusive shares in the share tab though for my appdata. Currently its primary storage is my cache pool, secondary storage is set to none.

Hi. I'm new to Unraid and don't know if anyone else has encountered this. I had to reboot my server and it came back up, the next morning I opened MS file explorer to look at the share drives, which had been visible before rebooting and I could not see them. I searched for solutions on the forum & web and didn't find anything that looked reasonable, so I opened Unraid, went to Shares, opened appdate share and changed Export to No, then changed Export to Yes. The server and all of its expo

Hi, I've upgraded today from 6.11.5 to 6.12.6 I've following issue now. I can not start any VM in the GUI. Only at some linux VMs, I can use the "Start with Conosle (VNC)". The normal Start, Restart, Pause, Hibernate, Stop, force stop does not work any more -> no reaction. The dialog stays open. For my Win10 VM, I can enable Autostart, disable/enable VM itself, then Win10 VM is running. It is not possible to remove any VM either. The gui is asking if I want to proceed, but clicking

I have a container which maps 200 ports using the port range syntax: `50000-50200:50000-50200/tcp` This causes the docker page to take a long time to load and the UI becomes almost unusable because each port is listed one by one: It seems like it should be using the port range syntax instead: 0.0.0.0:5000-5200 <---> 0.0.0.0:5000-5200

For example: Downloading... 5%, ETA: 2h5m Downloading... 8%, ETA: 2h0m It is actually damn slow and not just misreporting. Last time I tried, a week or two ago, it was as bad. My internet is fine otherwise. It can be a problem beyond the annoying speeds as the array won't stop with a download running and you can't cancel a download via the WebUI so you have to kill wget (I think it was wget) manually.

I upgraded from 6.8.3 to 6.12.6. Dockers: Can still be started, gets ip just fine. Able to connect to real world. VMs: I'm using ubuntu, not that it really matters, but I am unable to see a network interface, `ifconfig` only shows the loopback address. network source: br0 network model: virtio boot order: 3 Interestingly, if I try to create a new VM, it is unable to see network interfaces in the setup, which makes me think that there may be a se

The issue is as follows. I upgraded from 6.8.3 to 6.12.6. The dockers and vms persisted to the new version, but no network access is available on the vms. I noticed that when the vms upgraded: the bus device that the disk was hosted changed to `VirtIO`, and I think it was SATA. `Guest agent not installed` is seen in the interfaces section Tried to remediate the issue by changing disk to SATA, tried changing the networking to `Virt` Diagnostics a
