  1. I expect you are running in to the config issue. See my post below. NOTE that frigates url has a port but mqqt SHOULD NOT have a port as it uses the default mqqt port.
  2. Noticed this popping up in the system logs. I do use a custom share point for docker but not sure if that should affect libvirt? There's a double // in the log which I can't see that I've entered. No really running VM's these days so not noticed it. moulin-rouge-diagnostics-20231024-2149.zip
  3. System Temp - Would it be possible to add the ability to label the fans? So the tooltips hover info says a custom word. For example for me only 1x of these fans is the array. The others are CPU, HBA & Exhaust Fan.
  4. Just read the last bit of your question. It would be a better setup to run it straight out of the ISP router. But you can run in your way it just might be a bit harder to setup if you want to access it on your local network which is now your WAN. What I did is ask ISP to put a DMZ on for pfsense box. then I use the pfsense box as my main router with normal cheap network switches for extra ports. I keep my unraid sever on a separate port so different subnet so can have extra firewall rules or vlans. It's a bit of a rabit hole. You can also run Tailscale on the router so you have remote access to the whole network.
  5. I was running pfsense on this old box off ebay: https://www.jetwaycomputer.com/NF9HG.html But it was using alot of cpu when doing heavy downloads so have just upgraded to an n100 box of aliexpress. Went with the cheapest I could find that had 4x 2.5Gb ports & 8GB ram & SSD installed. Was about £130. This was the one: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/1005005136885269.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.10.c4881802j864Ar&gatewayAdapt=4itemAdapt I run PFblockerNG (ip list block) to cut down most of the noise. Then ONLY allow a custom port for plex. Have plex require SSL. Maybe also run suricatta again on pfsense. To be honest you could almost use one as a low power unraid server by using an m.2 to sata converter. Would need to run out the case tho.. Somewhere in here is a thread about some hardened custom samba settings:
  6. Heya, I'm getting some weird slow reads on single disks. Not sure exactly what the cause is. Open files shows some kind of slow scan happing (5.5MB/s) on open recent-ish tv shows. It's not plex doing content creation like thumbnails as that hammers the cpu. It's not someone watching the shows as I mostly watch new stuff which is on the SSD. Plus I can see what everyone is watching. I think its related to binhex-plex or bind-sonarr Is anyone else getting this? moulin-rouge-diagnostics-20231021-2043.zip

  8. Close all Vms & dockers. Run 1 at a time until you find the issue. Also on docker tab choose advanced so you can see the cpu & ram usage. otherwise it could be a psu or hardware issue. My high ram usage is zfs arc. not sure what yours is.
  9. thanks also do you know how I would enter this command: pcie_aspm=powersave http://smackerelofopinion.blogspot.com/2011/03/making-sense-of-pcie-aspm.html
  10. Noticed lower power usage by changing in bios ASPM to be bios controlled. I.e native pcie=disabled This does seem to indicate some problem in unraid with controlling aspm. The default of unraid is high-power & no latency so this may be why.
  11. Has anyone tried aspm=force https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/Documentation/ASPM Also why are the default power save functions not set? grep ASPM /usr/src/linux-5.10.28-Unraid/.config CONFIG_PCIEASPM=y CONFIG_PCIEASPM_DEFAULT=y # CONFIG_PCIEASPM_POWERSAVE is not set # CONFIG_PCIEASPM_POWER_SUPERSAVE is not set # CONFIG_PCIEASPM_PERFORMANCE is not set
  12. Somewhere in the thread it says about how you can add your own list of file extensions. I did that and it works great.

What does your LSI card report?
  14. Could have a list more info type button to show the version number (if available)
  15. Could be cool to add in some more backup options to this app. - docker.img - livert file - any VM's I say this because it would be nice to just have it all work in one menu location but if anyone has other plugins they use please do recommend them?
  16. Latest update causes random drive spin ups (stops when contains is stopped).
  17. Add 'driver version' to the Tools --> Drivers i.e v2.1345.a
  18. For me this 'bug' seems to be irelivent. The actual problem was apple's safari now doesn't work with NoVnC - whereas chrome loads up fine..

  20. Getting this error when starting up ANY vm. Thought it was specific to windows10 but have just made a bunch of new VM's and they all give this error when starting.. Any ideas on how to fix? qxl_send_events: spice-server bug: guest stopped, ignoring
  21. Broadcom state support of ASPM L1 here: https://docs.broadcom.com/doc/12353246 This is for an older chip so newer is almost guaranteed to support it... The ultimate test would be to boot an ubuntu live usb key and see if you reach any c state with an LSI card. Then you will know if it just unraid or the hardware & bios limiting.
  22. Found this thread on homelab saying on truenass it IS possible to reach c6 with a LSI card.... so possibly solely an unraid issues?? This is not necessarily the case. For example, one of my backup servers is a Dell R720 connected to a NetApp DS4246, running TrueNAS SCALE. The R720 has two LSI HBAs in it: the onboard H310 Mini Mono flashed to IT mode firmware and a 9205-8e. PowerTOP output shows the CPU is hitting its deepest available PC and C states (PC6 and C6) for the 2695 v2 (see page 21 of the E5 v2 reference). What HBA were you thinking about getting, and where did you find that it wouldn't allow the system to go to deeper C states? https://www.reddit.com/r/homelab/comments/14s2hzg/sas_hba_and_cstates/
  23. I rebooted and it works..
  24. As above seems to die doing the scan since latest update.
