Are you using the latest version of the container or the stable one? If you are using the latest it might also be a bug in TVheadend, so check their page for open issues. Thanks for your help. I'm using the latest version of the container. I tried different containers but they all seem to be affected. Is there any way I could update ffmpeg inside a docker container? Okay, I will try to get help from the tvh forum. Edit: You might be right. There could be a bug. I used the 4.2-release version now and it works without any problem. The latest is built from the master branch of tvheadend and it's alot of development going on now. So if you don't have anything you need in that branch, use the stable one. Quote Link to comment

I ask because my TVH server over the last...idk, 3 days or so, has just been dying. What i mean by that is I start up the server, everything works fine and then at some point it just dies. It might last 2minutes, it might last 30min, but at some point it just becomes completely unresponsive and I have to restart the container. Quote Link to comment

j0nnymoe
Protip, if you don't want TVH to break randomly, don't use the latest tag, use `release-4.2`. Quote Link to comment

jus7incase
Hi! in the TVHeadend configuration the storage path setting for timeshift data is coming as empty. As a result, the timeshift buffer is managed inside the docker container filesystem and this may grow larger than intended. This may not be what everyone wishes to do. I thus suggest to have either in the standard setting a storage path set for timeshift as: /recordings/timeshift As a result the timeshift buffer is stored in the path where the DVR recordings go. Alternatively you could introduce a separate path for the timeshift buffer and as well a respective mapping for the container config. Just my 2 cents... Quote Link to comment
Spooky83
Hey guys, first of all a happy new year to everyone. I've been using this docker for quite some time now in combination with a Digital Devices Cine S2 V6.5. Unfortunately I only have one tuner available at the location of the server. So watching live TV and recording stuffs is a pain in the ass. So I was thinking of using an aditional IPTV source. I've come across an interesting script in a german kodi forum, that offers the ability to integrate one of the biggest german speaking IPTV providers (Zattoo). Unfortunately the script was written for a Debian/Ubuntu base while this docker is on an Alpine base. Does anyone know if/how this could be adjusted to be used with this docker, as this is running perfectly. The script can be found here: https://github.com/sunsettrack4/zattoo_tvh Thanks in advance for any tips. Quote Link to comment

The script can be found here: https://github.com/sunsettrack4/zattoo_tvh Thanks in advance for any tips. It's written for Linux, so should work in alpine also. But only if the dependencies are available for alpine. You need to do some modifications of the tvheadend container for this to work. You need to follow the installation guide on the github Readme and install all the needed dependencies. To make it permanent, you have to map a startup script that installs all the necessary dependencies and the script. If you don't, all your changes will be lost when you update the container. You probably need to run a script at container start. I just skimmed through the Readme, so don't know fully. Quote Link to comment
Spooky83
Yes I know that the dependencies are key here and I have already tried Installing the dependencies via terminal, but from what I remember (that was 2 weeks ago) at least 1 dependency was not available. Wasn't there a Debian based docker for testing? I think I remember there being one... Haven't really thought about the startup script, so thanks for that tip. I've got to read up on that once I figure out how to get it running. Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A6013 mit Tapatalk Quote Link to comment
nebosa
Hello I have a problem and I'm stuck. I am using unRAID 6.6.6 I have installed from LinuxServer.io: unRAID DVB Edition and tvheadend as well as Dynamix S3 Sleep and Dynamix System Buttons. The computer has a Digital Devices DVB-S 6.5 installed. When the computer is restarted, everything works fine. When the computer goes to sleep over the Butto Sleep or with Dynamix S3 Sleep and again wakes up tvheadend no longer works. Restart or restart the container unfortunately remains without success. Even the connected monitor does not turn on !? The webgui of unRAID can be reached. I have tried in the S3 Sleep Plugin with modprobe -r ddbridge to unload the drivers and when waking up with the parameters modprobe ddbrige to load again, unfortunately, has also brought no success. Reset and Reboot do not solve the problem! Just turning off the computer and turning it on will solve the problem ... until the next sleep. Does anyone have an idea and can help me please? Living Legend
I can't for the life of me figure out why I'm having such trouble logging into the GUI. I go through the wizard and it asks to create admin credentials and then a user credential. I do both. Then at the end of the wizard it says it's going to clear the admin creds and to login witih user. Okay. I go to login, 403 Forbidden. Huh? I delete everything and start again. I dont set an admin and I set a username/pass to test/test. Can't get this wrong, right? 403 Forbidden? I remember trying this docker out a year ago and facing the same issue now that I think of it. I saw that someone else posted about it but did not see a resolution. Any idea what's going on? Quote Link to comment
alturismo
may start from scratch, delete docker and image, delete the /appdata folder (where your user files are) ... personally i see this behavior too when i try to fast to relogin sometimes ... but closing browser completely and reopen it solves it ... pretty sure some cookie / cache thingy here but nothing important here. May tried with another browser just to make sure ? Quote Link to comment

May tried with another browser just to make sure ? Yeah, I've tried all of the above. Started from scratch, delete image, appdata folder, etc. different browsers. Always an issue for me. Does it have to do with the startup wizard? Because at the end it says we'll log you out and remove the admin user and then when you try to login, neither the admin creds, or user creds just created work.
