Thats very important - take the advantage of this "more powerfull" iGPU. The iGPU on the i7 is way to old and doesn't have a good quality compared with the HD630 from the i5. The question is now, what is more important - CPU-power or iGPU-power

Just one thing to mention: The i5 has a modern iGPU - this makes HW-Transcoding for Plex much more powerfull. So in this case i would take the i5, if HW-transcoding is a thing for you.

Depends... Both CPUs are very old - but i would take the "more cores CPU" 👍 RAM-Speed is not relevant on Intel-CPUs and it doesn't matter for unraid... But that's just my opinion

Thats not a question of RAM-speed, its a question of the platform. On "all AMD-platforms" the RAM-speed goes down if you use more then two RAM-Sticks - That's the crux of the matter with AMD systems.

The Sys can transcode 4k to 1080p/12Mbit (Plex HW-Transcoding over iGPU) - price € 1.520.- (~ $ 1.800.-) "without" HDDs and SSDs... (unraid Pro license and Plex-Pass for HW-Transcoding included) FYI: 4k-transcoding on a CPU needs a "monster" of a CPU - 8 cores are not enough...

Deshalb hab ich mich für das Asrock B365M Pro4 entschieden - da kann man alle acht Anschlüsse "gleichzeitig" verwenden - also 6x SATA + 2x NVMe und die 3x PCIe mit voller Banbreite.

Dir ist aber schon bewußt, "was" die Parity-Disk macht? Befüllen ohne Parity würd ich nicht... denn dann passiert genau das, was bei dir passiert ist... wenn es passiert... Worst Case Szenario...

Da haben die Server wohl keine Uhrzeit geliefert (oder eine falsche) - kommt bei denen öfter vor. Nimm mal andere Server und schau, wie es läuft...

Ich hab da einen i7-9700 - das ist ein Coffe Lake-R. Ich wollte da eine Win 7 VM draufklatschen, was aber wichtiger ist, ist das HW-Transcoding für Plex... Vielleicht probier ich das einfach mal aus, wenn ich herausfinde wie ich ne VM mit Win 7 installiere 🤣

Geht das eigentlich auch mit Plex HW-Transcoding + 1x VM? Ich meine mich zu erinnern, dass das nicht läuft, da Plex die iGPU "exklusiv" beansprucht...

Thats a "very good" deal for this combo. Get them! Regarding the K-CPU: If you dont need the "full power", I would recommend to set the PowerLimit in the BIOS from 65-85W to not stress the VRMs.

Ich schau mal nach... wart kurz... Das sind 29MBit - also nicht sehr hoch... Die GPU-Load schaut bei mir aber auch so aus - teilweise sogar bis 17W und 100% Auslastung - aber das ändert sich nicht - egal, ob das ein Stream ist oder vier...

4K HEVC Main 10 HDR Das sind die Angaben vom Film Transcoded to 1080p/20MBit - aber das will er ja nicht... soll ja 4K bleiben - weiß aber nicht, ob das geht... ich kann das nicht testen, da ich kein 4K-Display habe Der Pi4 könnte das aber... Ich würd den TV sowieso links liegen lassen und einen Pi4 nehmen... das funktioniert perfekt

Also 4 Streams gehen problemlos - Auslastung 90-95% Mit den oben genannten Settings. EDIT: Jetzt issa runter auf 45-60%

Aso - ja - im Browser würde das gehen. Ich hab auf einem Fernseher einen Pi4 mit Kodi laufen. Aber am PC kann ich das testen 👍
